They had an opportunity to sign a world class striker in the summer and didn't, and I think they'll regret that0 -
Brilliant game by Gordon who other than being caught on the ball once was excellent in attacking and defending while doing a job for Newcastle on the right.
The cross for the goal was one that De bruyne would be proud of.
Into added time.1 -
Not seen Lewis Hall live before, good player, not given Saka much at all.1

20 year old from Slough who after spending 10 years at Chelsea decided he wanted 1st team football.
Masterclass by Eddie Howe and his players today.
A deserved win 1-02 -
The referees are so anti-Arsenal, not letting them score.6

Reading about him, I see that he went to the same private school in Ascot as Simon Cowell and Tracey Ullman went to albeit decades apart and that he has always been a Newcastle fan as his father is from the north east. Says that he was frustrated when he first came to Newcastle (presumably because he was being kept out of the side by Burn at that time) but that Howe has also helped him immensely with the defensive side of the game.0 -

Liverpool top the table, with Arsenal now 4th and BEHIND Nottingham Forest.0

Southampton beating Everton is massive for them, we now need Wolves to beat Palace.1

Come on Wolves beat the stripy virgins0

Yes I am fully aware that Southampton, Leicester and Ipswich are nailed on to be in the dogfight and that the likes of Wolves, Palace and Everton could be in the melting pot too but Bournemouth did lose 19 goal Solanke and the 8 points they secured were at home to Southampton (3) and Newcastle (1) and away to Everton (3) and Forest (1). The draw at Forest was as a result of an 87th minute equaliser and the win at Everton was that bizarre game in which the home side capitulated to the extent that they conceded three goals in the final five minutes or so. Bournemouth lost at home to Chelsea and away to Liverpool and Leicester.
Bournemouth's next three matches are Arsenal (H), Villa (A) and City (H). They will be expected to probably lose all three matches and any points gained will be a plus.1 -
Wolves should be 1-0 up ther0

Gordon proved that at times it's good to play on the side of the pitch which benefits your best foot.
Inverse wingers are fine at times but that 1st time ball in with his right foot was magic. Plus seeing a player go round a defender on the outside is enjoyable.

Still a long way to go of course but Arsenal look done in the title race unless Odegaard is fit and back in the side ASAP. They don't have anyone near his ability at linking play up and picking out a pass.
Reading the stats today they are 6 points worse off than this time last year and 9 worse than the year before. Not a huge amount on paper behind but title winners drop around 24 points a season and they are already half way there already.
Seems strange to be saying that so soon into the season, and with City looking beatable on an off day, but they need to capitalise on those opportunities and don't seem capable at the moment.

Man City have looked bad this year. They’re a terrific group of players who are all capable of changing a game, but they’ve got away with it numerous times already. It’s a miracle they’ve taken this long to get beaten. Yesterday aside, they’ve looked like one of those teams that still somehow manages to win through their bad form.
And they always do the business in the second half of the season, so I expect them to prevail again this year.0 -
Yeah Arsenal are out of it already IMO. Picking up just 1 point in 9 isn't getting you anywhere.1

Romero does not learn. Goes flying into a tackle that he was miles away from making, earns a booking and Cash has to go off as a result but he has to hobble off too as a result of that challenge. Spurs' defence is porous enough without both their first choice CBs missing.1

As for porous, we've conceded the same number of PL goals as Arsenal.0 -
