Then injuries why are all our players injured season after season.
you used to have half the team present in every squad and 2/3 would play every game nowadays your lucky to see 1 player be present in every match.Feels like we always have injuries and we’ve been through worse.
Jones was clutching at straws when boosting the numbers by mentioning Edun being injured (our third choice LWB, and he could easily be overtaken by Enslin), despite being on the bench.
It gives Jones an explanation for our form, but what’s really happened is his plan to battle harder and hoof it long hasn’t worked as he expected. Docherty isn’t the goalscoring midfielder he hoped he would be, Ahadme not the target man we needed and so on.8 -

Maybe NJ is focusing too much on the EFL trophy…after all we are top of the league!🤓4

We need stability.
In the little over three and a half years since Bowyer left, we have had six full time managers. This churn has not improved our standing and last season was our lowest league position for ninety+ years. Given that and remembering it took Curbishley, albeit in straightened times, seven years to get his first promotion maybe, just maybe, it might be worth sticking with a manager, who does have a promotion on his CV, for a little longer.
Of course, if Klopp fancies spending some time in the capital……..

If he acknowledges it and changes course in January then it won't exactly make it "okay" as we've lost half a season already, but it shows that he can at least acknowledge the mistake and work to correct it.
If he doesn't or just doubles down on it then all faith is gone on my part. Self belief is one thing, wilful delusion is another entirely.5 -

I am more annoyed we sacked Jackson and Euell never got a chance (and I apply annoyance to AFC Wimbledon (obviously this isn't about the Jackson sacking) as well, the guy score goals, but can't catch a break).4 -
So many fans in the summer (including myself) pointed out the lack of attacking creativity, yet our recruitment team somehow couldn't identify this. Hopefully they learn from their mistakes and address the situation in January, but I'm not holding my breath.1

7 defeats in 30 isn't bad at all. The issue is we don't have any creative spark to turn those draws into wins.
22 points from 16 games last season
19 points from 14 this
Will Jones be anywhere these points total after 30 games this season as per below?09/10: 57 points - 3rd - Parkinson
11/12: 68 points - 1st - Powell
18/19: 54 points - 4th - Bowyer
All those seasons managers in their first full season in charge, just like Jones at present

Trying to go with a physical approach was a deliberate choice but it's one that went wrong.
A correction is needed either way of course.3 -

Without doubt we are under performing and yes NJ is a highly strung loon. However when he signed the likes of Berry, Cambell, Doc I assume like the majority on here he expected them to be the players they had been previously. These are players that had played successfully in the Championship and also didnt disgrace themselves in the Premiership but WTF !!! Berry last night was playing against a 2nd string league two outfit who were resting most of their 1st team and he still looked miles off it !!! Then Doc comes on and does nothing exceptional, I think we could be excused for thinking they should look a class above in those circumstances but if anything they looked out of their depth !! it just doesnt make any sense3

Luton need to get a move on with sacking Rob Edwards and taking Jones off us.6

We need stability.
We may indeed hire an equally bad manager but I'm willing to risk it because I'm absolutely certain (and have been for months) that we unquestionably have a rubbish manager now.
Jones was hounded out of Stoke and Southampton for playing the Panglossian village idiot whilst serving up football that's almost impossibly bad to watch. With every vacancy he fills, his success at Luton becomes increasingly mystifying and more and more of a stark anomaly as opposed to something we can be confident he will replicate given time. I'd love to call him a one trick pony but he's actually just pony. Our lack of Plan B is less concerning than a nine month tenure that has yet to produce a Plan A.
I'm not paying to watch any more of this dirge. I said after the Bristol Rovers game that Jones' 'style' of play could easily see us beat Brum 1-0 but equally make us highly likely to lose 1-0 to Exeter. I'm hardly Nostradamus but fans need to stop reading individual results and smell the coffee. What you're watching every week is unacceptable. Yes, his style of play means we will be safe from relegation. We will scrape together enough ugly points to stay up (we might even do it next game...it's not us turning a corner) but this team which he has put together, playing the football he wants them to play, are less creative than your average brick and he is entirely to blame for that. These professional players train all week to produce these performances, game after game after game, having taken all their instructions from him.
I can handle us struggling if we're at least trying to play football but I've no idea under what false illusions fans are still turning up at matches. We're going nowhere and there's not even a pretense of entertainment or excitement. If the reason for attending is loyalty to the club then it should extend to calling for this manager to be axed. I said it once and I'll keep parroting it, stability does not bring success, it is success that brings stability. There is no sense in obstinately backing the wrong man out of a faith in stability. There is no point in fearing change will bring about failure, when you've been watching nine months of seriously flawed failure under NJ.21 -

Have always been jones in and sacking a manager every 6 months is not ideal. But by christ is NJ making it hard for me now.24
-
Dreadful football and an embarrassment on the touchline. I ve had enough of him.7
-
It’s not great by any means but we tried the continuous sackings cycle and that got us nowhere I would still stick with him4
-
2 massive league games coming up for Jones and the squad. Anything less than 6 points and questions will be asked2
-
It's not great but he has been hampered by injuries and most importantly I don't know who we would replace him with. The only manager I can think of who is available that I'd like is Mark Robins but that won't happen. We need players back and some good signings in January but our recruitment team is clearly poor too.2

In some ways that sums up being a football supporter. Other than the odd joyous blip.0 -
I want a manager to inspire players and get us playing decent stuff, being a pitch side lunatic isn't high on my priority list.1
