So Leaburn has played right wing in the youth when growing up, and Jones sticks him up top alone and Godden wide right...

Only following on here but the consensus seems to suggest it was a red?
  • Probably a red there… stupid by Docherty.

I don’t see us getting much “better” than Jones and he is on a 5 year contract, which will cost a small fortune to pay out.

We can’t keep chopping and changing managers and I think we need to start looking at this as a work in progress instead of wanting instant success.

We are shit, but we were shit under Appleton, Garner, Adkins and Jackson all of which lasted under a year.

Give jones another summer and judge him next year I think. Not ideal, but the conveyor belt hasn’t worked for us and it’s time to change approach.

Shocking decision by the ref never a red card.. Once again, key moment goes against us.. Come on the 10 men.. Hope we appeal
And this is why we need VAR in every pro league.
The best refs are in the Prem and they’ve got VAR, the Championship and below have shiite refs and no VAR??
I don't particularly like Var but its almost a must do in this league, these refs need as much assistance as they can get.

  • Definitely stupid from Docherty, but think a red is harsh. Also think it was a pen for us, but again stupid and unnecessary challenge from the Huddersfield defender

Good omen, down to 10 men in the first half against Huddersfield. 1957 spirit needed.

Jackson wasn’t afforded a summer window, Jones has, why should he be kept on when it’s clearly not working?

But we also need to buy some players that can actually play football too...

Docherty, Berry, Coventry were all (rightly) hailed as coups yet have all been horrific, they can’t all be bad…
I wouldn't put Coventry in that category, I'd put Campbell. Coventry has had some good games and bad. The rest have had a lot of bad games.

They do because theyre all dogshit
  • Huddersfield having to cheat to beat us.…

The penalty was very soft Ron so I am calling it even
You and I have a different idea of even, Mike. Like I alluded to in response to Exiled, how often do WE get shit decisions against us and the gods “even it up”?

Did the conditions have any impact on both challenges ?

Don’t want to come across like Colin, but I don’t even think it’s a yellow card

That is a red, when you swing for the ball like that you have to win it

To be a target and hold the ball up. Godden as a lone front man would just means the ball would keep coming back constantly and there would zero respite for the midfield and defence. Expect Godden may be subbed at half time if TC has 45 minutes in him.

We've said that the last four seasons when replacing each Manager, and we've still gone backwards bar one of those.

We've had zero stability each of those years, because each season has involved 2/3 Managers

2 injuries and 2 subs used by Huddersfield, not
impossible they use all their subs and then get another so also play with 10

  • I will take a first half goal even if from the spot. Doc is an idiot. Should never be our captain. Has he ever lead by example?

To the poster and those that have liked this, how bad does it have to get for you? What makes you think that Jones will get it right in another window when he hasn’t got it right this one? He was allowed to sign players he picked, we had the fourth highest budget in the league with 2 of the clubs in front of us having ridiculous money that you can’t expect us to compete with, it’s all well and good saying that we need to give him time but there’s absolutely no positives right now. None.
