Well, I am looking forward to this game.  Because it is another game on what could be three trips to Wembley this season.
  • I don’t know if I even want to watch tonight’s attempt to make Burton look like they’re Real Madrid.
  • Huge 3 games coming up for us. Burton & Crawley and Walsall in the cup. Bad results and can’t see how this gets turned around under Jones. Really need to turn it around with a result today.

Would take a smash and grab 1-0 win just to get the points on the board. Cannot be dealing with the looking at the points gap between 4th from bottom and us against this season.

We need to absolutely f**k them up, destroy them, make them all want to quit football and go work at the local Carling factory instead. I just can't see it happening

I think we'll lose this fixture. We'll then sack Jones and appoint someone new, who fills us with optimism with above average football until the end of the season. Next season will start with a wave of optimism, then it will go to shit as always, rinse and repeat.
Wow!, your a bundle of laughs mate...🤦‍♂️
Surely you get my point though? We are beyond rubbish at the moment. Also notable that Burton have picked up more points in recent games than we have (taking 5 latest league matches as an arbitrary number).

I don't think Jones has the dressing room. Hardly surprising, given that he will choose ageing Luton rejects ahead of players like Taylor. Why he opts to field the 35-year-old Hylton is a mystery only he can explain. What does Kaheim Dixon think, sitting on the bench or in the stands, seeing Hylton chosen ahead of him?
    Nope...

I was not referring to this season Per-Se, more to your tone regarding your future predictions, FFS let's get this season over first before we start writing off next season...and as you say "rinse and repeat", another annoying saying.🤦‍♂️
It seems very easy currently for people to put Charlton down at the slightest opportunity, now I agree we ain't been good enough so far this season, bar a few games, but I do tend to feel, or hope, that fortunes will change for the better, or why bother watching any more...🤷‍♂️

Was it Burton away last season where the pitch was a nightmare and Jones nearly flipped his lid about it?

Need to win 6 of next 7 league games (a point at Lincoln will do) to make something of the season starting tonight.
Anyone remember the last time we won 6 in 7….?

Won't be rushing home from work for this potential festival of football.

I foresee another utter borefest. We are utterly incapable of keeping a clean sheet so we will have to score at least 2 to win. Can't see that happening so a draw at best, which will be a criminally appalling result. A defeat and Jones has major questions to answer.

    We're way past that point.

Changed my mind. Seeing as everyone is predicting either a draw or a defeat I think we'll surprise everyone with a win.

    1-2. Godden & Berry.
    You ok hun?
  • Not long to go now, looking forward to this!

    Is Leaburn fit?
  • Everything should point to a narrow away win but I’ve no confidence we won’t yet again implode. Burton 2 - Charlton 1

Last time I saw Carl he looked about 16 stone.
    Doubt he will be fit.

  • Would it be nice if they put a good team effort and win the game!
I we lose he can walk as it is clearly not working, I cannot understand the bellend Hylton even being at the club, which is a total waste of resources and preventing one emerging talent from getting some minutes, yes I believe Dixon should be on the bench and be given at least 20 mins regardless off the scoreline on the grass.
KD is looking at Hylton thinking he should be collecting his pension after the fantastic 5 yard free kick, and a team who don't even know how to take throw - ins, nuff said!
You have to look around and there are lots of teams blooding their youngsters. The poor lad has had more minutes at international level than in a red shirt!
    1-0 win will suffice👍

Or maybe tonight will be first sightings of this click we all seem to hear so much about
  • I thought somebody said the game is on Sky sports plus, but so far I can’t see any listing.
    Any news?

Wearing grey again. Burton wear yellow. No colour clash. I don't care if it a sponsorship issue. Give the sponser their money back if needs be.

    Just wear red.

outrageous if we dont wear red again tonight, its like weve sold our identity and should not be allowed !!!!
  • Must win feels very strong at this time of year, but with a banana skin FA Cup game on Saturday, NJ desperately needs 3 points and a performance tonight. Burton have let in 28 goals, we HAVE to start on the front foot and exploit this.
