Walsall commentator reckons the score flattered us. What a pity.

  • 8 goal cup run (so far). When was the last time we scored that many goals in a cup run ?
  • Not been bothered with today's match or when we beat Southend.

But will be up for a ticket if we get Man City, Arsenal or Liverpool in round 3 😃
There you go Golfie, ball number 46 on Monday night!

    Job very well done 🙌
  • First time we've won away from home in the FA Cup, against a League side since Chris Powell swung on the Sheff Wed crossbar

Gordon for them looked a very decent player.

Walsall are no mugs at home their doing very well in league two but that was the perfect cup performance from the boys .. there was a time in that game if Walsall had scored it might have been more difficult game .. but defensively we were good .. Coventry and Taylor were excellent and Ahadme and Godden to good for their defenders … well done boys deserve a decent draw but this is Charlton

Really positive performance on the whole. 4 well taken goals, not many chances given up, game managed well at the end and subs making an impact

    Another superb delivery by Taylor
    Let's hope Jones was watching.

They make our Terry sound more neutral than Eddie Waring.

That’s a good result, please now take this into the league. Walsall prob better side than half our league.

The draw for the Emirates FA Cup third round proper will be made on the evening of Monday 2 December 2024, as clubs from the Premier League and EFL Championship join the competition for the 2024-25 season.

The draw will be conducted from Old Trafford, the home of the current holders Manchester United, and be broadcast live on BBC Two and iPlayer from 19:00 GMT as well as our official Emirates FA Cup social media channels.

Not convinced you could say this was the start to the weekend. I mean, I'm in Asia so its midnight on Saturday night, but in the UK it's 5pm Saturday.
That's pretty deep into the weekend.

Really good performance. Hard to tell if Walsall were just poor but four goals again away from home in the F.A Cup.I'll take that all day long.

If Jones doesn't realise after this that 4-4-2 or 4-4-1-1 with Taylor in the midfield is the way forward he must be blind.
