  • That’s a good result, please now take this into the league. Walsall prob better side than half our league.
They did rest half their first team.

I mean what is there to say about Danny Hylton?
I am trying to think of a player we've ever had that was even a bit like him.
  • Reckon we'll get Luton in R3.

the bad good news is that our potential upset is shown here on ESPN tomorrow, which means I don’t get the weekend off from this dross these Wembley bound Maestros  2-0 Walsall 0 - 4 Charlton

    so there’s that.

You can’t knock a 4-0 win away from home ! Hopefully we get a great draw Monday night ! Liverpool away would be ideal for me 😜

Walsall didn’t look very good today . Perhaps they were just having an off day ?

City away is the one I want.

    Manchester City not Birmingham.
  • Enjoyed that. Well happy for the team, but especially TC well taken goal. Walsall certainly tired in second half

Rather play a lower league team in the next round, to give our returning injured and young players a chance to play. Also more chance for us to win

The Nigel’s at home please . Failing that Spurs away.
  • Fully deserved win and for once,we took our chances. We actually played well, limited them to very few chances. Pleased for Gasman and very pleased for those travelling fans of ours. Hats off to them all.

Listened to the commentary on BBC West Midlands so interesting to get a perspective from the other side. They were very complimentary about us in the first half, saying that we had an effective pressing game that stopped them from playing. We then withstood a lot of second half pressure before sealing the win with two late goals.

Seems like a very professional job, with a comprehensive win in a match that was assuredly a potential banana skin. Credit to the players and also to Nathan Jones - bringing Small and Campbell on when he did swung the momentum back in our favour.

Will be at the Valley on Tuesday night hoping we can extend this winning streak. The confidence that comes with successive victories could make a big difference.

Not really, they are second in the league with a game in hand, promotion is clearly more of a priority than the FA Cup so I doubt the manager and directors are bothered about getting knocked out

They say genius is dead. Well I'm telling you fellow Addicks, we have witnessed it today!

Look around you, make a mental note of where you are, Charlton Athletic have won 4 nil away!  Yes, 4 nil.  What would Kevin Nolan make of it? he's already in heaven bless him, get the laptop fired up KN....
