No one is saying we've turned a corner, but for goodness sake lighten up folks, stop looking for the negatives, live for the day and enjoy the victories when they come, because these days they don't come along that often, especially convincing ones.
To put things in perspective, they rested six players and had two subbed in 1st half including probably their best player. Good to see our CMs kept Jamal Matt quiet, he is dangerous.

The amount of times, even in the Premier League, we've gone up against lower league opposition and lost in the cup is ridiculous. We've actually won one this time, very comfortably, with a striker in need of confidence getting and brace and MOTM and there's still people whining about it not being good enough. I can't fathom being that miserable
What's with some of the negativity on here? We've won, away from home 4-0, against a side doing well in their league, just one below ours, who've not lost since 1st October and beaten 5 other good L1 teams! Yet all we hear is they rested 6 players, they actually played 1st teamers who didn't play on Tuesday and were rested for today! The negativity on this place is getting worse...we won, were building on Tuesdays win, just enjoy and see if we can make it 3 on the spin on Tuesday night!

Spot on Red, yes we should beat both Burton and Walsall but how many times in the past have we failed to do so ? Two clean sheets, not really stretched in either game but we did the job, get Jones and Ramsay back and continue the winning habit, if we can win games rather than draw then we might go into the second half of the season with some confidence. Biggest plus today ? Ahadme and TC scoring, they both needed it and that should give them a big lift.
Fuck this. Months of abject failure and were rolling over because we beat L2 reserves team. Crack on lads. Enjoy your victory.
We've been gifted many occasions on which to justifiably voice our concerns in recent times. Tonight isn't one of them though. Hardly our fault if Walsall rested players, so why be critical of us.
Just rewatched our goals, for someone who does nothing Anderson wasn’t half involved for 2/4 of them. Smart pass to REG to stretch play for the first and challenges the keeper forcing the weak punch and then blocks off a defender for the third. I know there are things he can improve on but that often means people look over things he does well
Might not be popular on here but I'd keep leaburn dropped for Tuesday. Ruins our attacks by taking 10 touches before even picking his head up and rarely passes. Should play that starting team Tuesday imo. COYR
Whist I might not agree about not starting Leaburn I do agree that you should keep a winning side.
He's also played a fair few minutes after a very lengthy lay off so starting on the bench wouldn't do any harm
We managed that game very well, taking the couple of first half chances we had and riding out the 20 or so minutes of pressure that Walsall managed to exert at the start of the second half. Tyreece Small and Thierry Small made all the difference when they came on, with their pace and their ability to go past defenders. Even allowing for the fact that Walsall were tiring and a bit demoralised, I thought that the passing football which we played during the last 15-20 minutes was as good as anything I've seen us produce this season.
We were pretty solid at the back, Coventry and Taylor were impressive in central midfield and it was great to see some clinical finishing from our strikers.
Looking forward now to Monday's 3rd Round draw. I know the competition's been massively devalued over the last 35-40 years but, traditionally, the 3rd Round was always one of the season highlights.
Let's hope that we can carry this form into Tuesday night's game against Rob Elliot's boys at The Valley. It will be a very different sort of game, with Crawley probably keeping a lot of men behind the ball. The onus will be firmly on us to take the game to them, so I hope that Jones starts Tyreece Campbell to give us some width and pace.
4-0 is not to be sniffed at any level. I’m hoping this result gives us confidence more than anything else, but if we don’t follow it up with beating Crawley is a piss in a wind. Don’t take the highs too high and the lows too low.
As fans I’ll have a arsenal or spurs away draw please.

Seriously wtf have you been?
It's still not pretty, but it's 2 wins and 2 clean sheets in a row so hopefully something to build on.
Expected more from Walsall if I am honest.
Btw, how is not being negative 'rolling over'.

Ah yes everyone except the Welsh windbag.
