Will be UK only so if you’re abroad you’ll need to look elsewhere. If you’re in the UK you might need to turn off a VPN

Sunday at 6pm on BBC 2
  • Great result. I don't really see how anyone could hope for much better than a clean sheet with two goals in each half. Regardless of the opposition of the opposition, that's a good score.

I didn't see much of the match, but what I did it looked like we were playing better football than of late. Let's hope that marks the start of a turnaround.

It's great to be in the 3rd round. Sad to say, but that's a cup run already compared to recent seasons.

Bizarre squad selection again. Why's Hylton involved over Dixon and 2 left backs on the bench....
Dxon scored 4 goals against a weak non league side. League 2 defenders would be more likely to kick him to pieces.
I know an intelligent Charlton fan who went to the game and he said that Dixon is not ready for the first team.
Next you'll be trying to convince us that Santa Claus is for real
Santa Claus is real, he posts on here sometimes
And I saw him in The Glades last week.
Certainly puts it about does old Santa...
My parents used to tell me that he comes in my bedroom when I'm asleep & gives me a present  :o

Is it too late to have them arrested ?

Nah, there will be plenty of people around with the same tale...🙄
  • Can’t believe the folk on here who want Millwall or Palace in the next round. Surely we need a winnable home draw against a side that will bring a good crowd to the Valley.  While we may not get to the final, a cup run makes financial sense and can boost confidence in league games.
Although this must be the hope, there are far too many banana skins still available. This is Charlton, after all!

    I'm betting Doncaster Rovers away...

Are you saying both Palace and Millwall are not winnable games? And neither would bring a good crowd to The Valley?

🤞Any one from the prem at home will bring some much needed revenue, maybe a return match against Man U would be great for a start👍

  • Day out at a big prem ground, have a laugh, make some money, get knocked out and concentrate on league,
    spurs or west ham please,
don’t want to touch palace or Millwall til we’ve got a team to beat them 😁

We have had teams that could beat them ............and still didn't beat them !
  • Millwall at home would be great, as long as we have a fully fit squad. We haven't had a proper Derby in ages, no offence to Orient, but a full Valley and play Hylton and Ahadme up front, they may beat us but they'd have the bruises to prove it.
  • Man City. They way they are playing at the moment I'd bet even Bromley could beat them.
Until the weekend I'd not have bet against Bromley beating Charlton too to be fair.

Just rewatched our goals, for someone who does nothing Anderson wasn’t half involved for 2/4 of them. Smart pass to REG to stretch play for the first and challenges the keeper forcing the weak punch and then blocks off a defender for the third. I know there are things he can improve on but that often means people look over things he does well
I've been a critic of Anderson and his continual appearances when he has looked out of his depth, so happy to eat a bit of humble pie today. If he starts creating problems for the opposition with a high press and a couple of killer passes, all to the good. Fingers crossed he kicks on.
Anderson seems to be used in the Bakinson role of just causing pure chaos and disruption. Sometimes that means breaking up the opposition, sometimes it means coming up with something genuinely impressive and sometimes it means a promising move by us breaks down.

I'm not really sure I agree with the logic but it seems to be an important part of Jones style so I don't see it changing any time soon.
That doesn’t seem to be his role playing for Wycombe. All their build up play seems to go through him, judging from their match against Wealdstone.
  • I feel empty.Hollowed out .Gutted. Nothing to complain about............
Another Saturday night ruined by prem scores being given on a match thread. Luckily i have a book to finish and a bath to take.
    Happy Birthday.

We wouldn’t beat either and Millwall at home would have a negative effect on the crowd if past games are taken into account

Plenty of people stay away, especially older ones/people bringing kids for fear of trouble

And would get moved to a lunchtime kickoff by the police
  • Well, at least we now know Nathan Jones will switch it up, as we played completely different to how we played in recent games. It was against lower opposition, but I genuinely expected us to lose and we actually looked like the better team easily.

Walsall would probably beat the current bottom 6-8 or so, was really surprised at little they troubled us.

I was in a crowded area, but it felt like a proper away day, plenty of singing and backing the team, no real air of acceptance like it has been lately.

Too early to say we have turned it around just yet, but a very good start. Amazing what a team can look like when you start the two best midfielders at the club together.

All valid points but Walsall did make 6 changes, the next two games will show where we are
  • We played well on Saturday and whilst it was a team a divsion below us (at the top we might add) and they had made some changes, it was good to see us play well. Also the Gasman got 2 goals and the first was very well taken. Obviously it has to be taken in context but hopefully this can lead to a kick on now and we play better and win some more games in the league now. After all 2 wins back to back now and I know we were terrible on Tuesday but a wins a win and it can become a habit hopefully

I can't believe there are who don't want to play our rivals for the first time in years.

Big games is what the cup is all about.

The Valley would not have a capacity crowd, but of course you'd like to think there would be a very good atmosphere.  We could produce more half/half scarves as well.

Have you seen our record against both of the pricks?

Hope not, the congratulations Bromley thread will be in melt down

I don't care. We've got just as shit a record against the likes of Huddersfield (aware they're out) but without the excitement and buildup. Magic of the cup so you just never know what could happen.

We're stuck in the shittest league with no exciting matches and have been for years. Must be the only fanbase scared of playing their derbies.

Can’t see anything above about being scared, I said we wouldn’t beat either team and Millwall at home would have a negative effect on the crowd, someone then said the police would move the KO time
