From what I’ve heard lately it sounds like there will be awful news to follow. I hope that’s really not true though.

Yes look good from West Ham latest statement. I dunno why I listen to people when stuff like this happens, especially on social media.

Judging by the picture of the car I'm shocked he's still alive

Hopefully he'll make a full recovery, he's always come across well when I've heard him in interviews

Listening v Relaying rumours. Sounds like you've decided to opt for the former now ;)
  • Praying for him. Sounds like he may have had previous troubles but a good guy at heart.

What I’ve been told he wasn’t wearing a seat belt that’s what saved him. He was thrown into the back seat.
  • How does that work? Not wearing a seat belt wouldn't somehow teleport you into the back seat?

Might do if the car spun.

I assume he means the seat belt would have kept him trapped in the front and he wouldn’t have stood a chance, but without it he was ‘free’ to be thrown into the back, away from the impact.
  • Wearing a seat belt, not wearing a seat belt, driving like an arsehole because he has history. I’m guessing with the exception of a small number of emergency service personnel, nobody knows what actually happened at this stage

And he hasn’t had the jab, so that helped as well.
  • Seems to have more lives than a cat.
  • Whatever happened, speeding, seatbelt or no seatbelt, swerved to avoid a cat, he's a very very lucky man to escape alive. That car is absolutely mangled.

Zouma would have kicked it out the way.

Looking at that car, it's hard to see how anyone could survive tha. Hope he survived, and IF he was driving recklessly it's a steep learning curve.

Modern cars are designed to wreck themselves whilst protecting the driver. That is a positive. Wishing him all the best.

I dont understand why nowdays it's a "road traffic accident".  Looks to me like there was no other "traffic". Different if you're in a collision with another car or on a motorway accident.

Also some of the damage done might have been made by rescue services if he had to be cut out of the car.
  • Do we know that's definitely his car? That looks like a massive shunt, and not a head on one either, as the bonnet is relatively unscathed when compared to the right hand side of the car.

How do you know another car wasn’t involved ?

It's not. It's called an RTC "Road Traffic Collision".
Used to be RTA, but changed years ago, so as to not presume an accident.

Have you been watching Hot Fuzz?

  • Just round the corner and that road is a winding road I’ve driven down a gazillion times , I’d put myself in the drives at the upper end of speed limits bracket and no one with half a brain cell drives fast along there cos it’s only going to lead to trouble .
