Not checking again but I think I read that a year ago it was calculated you could build £2.5 billion worth of flats on it.1

At least, given the size of the plot of land and the location next to a park, a shopping centre and a huge transport hub in Stratfordletthegoodtimesroll said:Not checking again but I think I read that a year ago it was calculated you could build £2.5 billion worth of flats on it.0 -

The financial benefit to WH from the stadium lease being effectively in perpetuity will be reflected in the price of WH shares. Guess what - the taxpayer only got a share of the profits on the sale of WH if it was sold within 5 years (from memory) of the signing of the stadium contract.1

Searched CL and hope this is the correct thread.
I see those cheeky claret n blue porn barons are about to dip into public funds once more. Gleefully nose bagging into Mayor Khant''s pot of gold to upgrade the London Stadium.
Does anyone have further knowledge or links? I have unsuccessfully tried to back track and find where the hell I saw this. I may of course halucinated the whole thing but a stink is a stink and as a tax payer, i hold a grudge.0 -
Unfortunately it's been so long and they've had it off with so much taxpayers money already, I doubt many people care anymore.0

Of course, West Ham will tout this as evidence of their commitment to addressing climate change (and will probably claim it for any carbon off-setting that they are supposed to do).stoneroses19 said:soapy_jones said:Searched CL and hope this is the correct thread.

West Ham should be able to get a good deal next time they send out season tickets0

This is certainly an interesting approach, but I'd like to see more concrete measures to reduce carbon emissions, not just advertising. It looks like just PRNornIrishAddick said:

West Ham in £4m legal battle with London Stadium landlords
Those cheeky Hamsters are trying to claw back nearly £4m of the “penalty” they had to pay when Kretinsky bought a stake in the club under an added value clause that was in the contract til 2023.The report also confirms that E20 paid £8.3m installing solar panels to upgrade the stadium last year, just less than twice the £4.4m that WHam now pay in rent. E20 made an underlying loss for the year of £14.3m.
The stench on this “deal of the century” really doesn’t lessen as the years go by.3 -

Better still, get Roland to value it for them.guinnessaddick said:
I haven’t got a problem with selling it to them, providing it at its true market value.letthegoodtimesroll said:Just noticed this on LinkedIn -apologies if posted elsewhere

Well they need it to pay their recently sacked manager who has compensation of £3 million for being a failure.TelMc32 said:West Ham in £4m legal battle with London Stadium landlords
