If the temperature tomorrow is the same as it is today , as reported , that would make sense.

    It’s colder tomorrow

    Any recommendations for parking?
The best drivers reverse into the space.
There is parking at the ground, costs £10.00 can be booked via the Preston ticket office mate, last game there Southall parked opposite me if I had known then what was in store for us I would have ran the runt over
  • I'd imagine we will hear something very soon as the players will need to travel up around now

Following a pitch inspection at Deepdale, Saturday's Emirates FA Cup third-round tie against Preston North End has been postponed due to a frozen playing surface.

The tie will now be played on Tuesday, January 14th (KO 7.45pm GMT). Already-purchased tickets will remain valid for the rearranged date.

For information on claiming refunds, please email tickets@cafc.co.uk

  • so you got a few days to rearrange transport.
  • Im sure you don't need me input now because of the announcement but this is one of the adjoining roads to Deepdale so I'm not surprised

The club really needs to publish how people can get refunds. It’s a small amount admittedly but they will get hundreds of enquiries and not publishing the arrangements is poor from any perspective.
I've not seen anything about Crawley yet. Once a new date has been found for that, that'll be more refunds for that game as well
  • I think the reason they don’t publish it is to make it more difficult for people to get them. I don’t agree but understand that with home games, but the revenue here is trivial.
  • They’ve published how to get refunds haven't they?
  • Big fan of calling it off today. No point waiting until tomorrow and wasting everyone’s time.

Good for the players too, as I assume they'd be travelling up this afternoon

No, they have given an email address for information on claiming refunds.

I think it’s pedantic to say they haven’t informed people how to get a refund. It’s obvious you email and ask. How else should they do it?

Set out the process: “in order to obtain a refund, you will need to do x”, not invite them to ask you, which creates an extra stage of communication.

The reason it’s not policy to do this is because the club knows, for home games in particular, the easier you make it the more people will claim their money back, especially if they otherwise assume it’s a process, involving returning tickets before the game.

Why else wouldn’t you set out exactly what people need to do? They don’t say, “to learn how to buy tickets please email the club”, do they?

I emailed an hour ago to ask for a refund. They’ve done it already.

Club responded to me within 30 minutes as well so system seems to be working fine at the moment

After emailing the club enquiring about coach travel from Charlton to Preston on Tuesday, i would like to praise the ticket office staff for replying within a couple of hours & taking my booking over the phone for the rearranged journey, it is now possible to book the coach online, pick up times will be emailed to fans later.
Anybody requiring coach travel on Tuesday i would advise them to book asap online here https://booking.cafc.co.uk/en-GB/categories/Valley Away

    or by phone 0330 14 44 44

I hope the club comms are going to mail out an educational leaflet giving guidance on how to travel on a coach !!! 😜

    I'm in Preston now...

It's the other stuff which you can't cancel, I was up here anyway, and have an advance ticket back from Preston tomorrow evening, so might as well "enjoy the sights" rather than paying more for a new ticket home...

Or a game like Reading away and we might as well put a second string side out on Tuesday and concentrate on the two league games afterwards.
