I've just amended my tickets with Avanti. It was £72 for tomorrow and it's cost a further £49 on top to change to Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday morning. Fingers crossed there's not anotĥer postponement.
You should be ok, the temperature will start rising on Sunday. Are you able to change your hotel?

I'm staying with a pal who I'm dragging along to the game. So one expense spared at least.

Ha, well. If the order of games was PNE - Bolton- Rotherham then I would have walked between the three of them. Would have been fantastic.

We are just emailing the club to get a refund for the tickets.
The hotel we booked for 2 nights in Preston said non refundable
    I'm in Preston now...

It's the other stuff which you can't cancel, I was up here anyway, and have an advance ticket back from Preston tomorrow evening, so might as well "enjoy the sights" rather than paying more for a new ticket home...
    Enjoy m8.

    Take care.

If it's any consolation to anybody who was booked on a train from Euston this morning there is severe disruption between Euston & Preston & you may be entitled to some compensation under the 'Delay Repay' scheme.

My prebooked train back from Preston was the 8pm one, which was over 90 minutes late! So a 100% refund of my £42 fare.

I can see the service is improving then.

Tickets are no longer available online, but can be purchased from Preston's Away Ticket Office, which is located at the Bill Shankly Kop, from 6pm on Tuesday evening.
