Jones will large it up now - it was utter bollox and without LJ we would have lost that.
You cannot be serious stupid comment from a strange idiot!
  • Got to be honest wasn’t impressed up until the 70th really, but we stayed in it and credit where it’s due Jones made the right changes and the boys fought well.

We are desperate for a Collins type player, Berry has shown it in glimpses but he just doesn’t have the pace or consistency.

If we win Saturday and results go our way we really are in touching distance, add one or two decent signings and I don’t see why not. It’s the hope that kills you.

We've had some real powder puff teams in recent years but there's a bit more aggression and physicality about this bunch. Enjoyed that
Which is exactly what was missing at Rotherham.

Great result, not really sure how we got it as the performance was all over the shop for 60mins. Strange to see a team do a "Charlton" IE concede and completely lose their heads. If that game had gone on 5mins longer there would have been a red card for them, no doubt.

When was the last time we did the double over Bolton? Must be a long time.

We have got to cut the basic errors out as they happen far too often. Giving the ball away cheaply and completely switching off defensively is a constant theme. Watch the replay again and it's criminal how easily Collins runs off of Gillesphey's shoulder.

We look better with Godden on the pitch. We need to get him in the team and play to his strengths. I have been a massive critic of Anderson, but fair play to him his last couple of sub appearances have shown a real hunger.

He won't get much praise, but I thought Doherty was MoM. Worked his bollocks off and played really sensibly after he got the early booking.

Ref was a clown. How was their skipper not given a 2nd yellow? Ridiculous decision.

Matete is going to be in trouble, that was properly spiteful - you could tell that Steve Brown really wanted to let rip on the commentary.

And as for Evatt, said on the match thread and will say it again, he is a whopper of the highest order. The twist away from Jones's handshake is pathetic. To then start gobbing off as well is embarrassing. His interview will be interesting

Turned over at the end in time for a 98th minute equaliser for Cardiff at Millwall  ... all helps to raise the spirit.
    I did too.

Absolutely buzzing. Lloyd Jones back to what we expect. Lucky perhaps but who cares. Get the fuck in. The stamp on Small was a disgrace. Loved Lloyd Jones giving it back to Evatt at the end, and loved all the passion from the players and NJ at the end too. Thought REG did well when he came on. Enjoyed that 2nd goal more than any other for a little while. Season is still alive. COYR.

Credit to @RonnieMoore for reminding us that we never win at Bolton.

Three points guarenteed as soon as he said it.

Didn't watch it so can't comment on the performance but excellent result, an away golfie too.

Very pleased for the too often unfairly maligned Anderson.

Now, follow that with two home wins next week and we can start believing.

I felt I saw that game a bit differently from most. Bolton as you'd expect play the prettier football with better passing, movement etc but we know they have a softness to them this season. I was confident we'd exploit it at times after some early signs. It's nice to be on this side of it, too often in previous years we've been the soft touch outfought by opponents.

Even at 1-0 down we were always in the game, as long as they didn't get a 2nd goal. Bolton had more shots but we got into double figures ourselves. A great result after an awful performance on Saturday. Even more so we were away up north again, and went 1-0 down.

Jones has found a system and style that works for us, and he adapted it really well tonight with the options available. An injury crisis aside it should get us the results to keep us between 7th and 12th. Over to the SMT and owners in these last few weeks of the window to help us push on with 2/3 attacking signings. Between them we need another player with pace who runs at the opposition so we have an alternative to TC and Small, and someone with creativity and flair to challenge if not take Berry's place. If we can add a third to that even better. There are other weaknesses in the team, but getting those 2/3 right would be a big step forward.

If we can find an attacking mid to replace Berry and a left centre back to replace Gillesphey we may still make it to the playoffs. They are consistently now our weakest links.
And bring REG or Zach Mitchell in to replace Alex Mitchell.

Not sure how we won that, but not going to complain. We had an immense last 20 mins and finally got some luck!

Cov and Doc were excellent second half. Godden & Anderson looked very sharp, hope they start next game. Leaburn looks like be could use a rest. Gillesphey is a L1 Carl Tiler.

Agree with Brownie at the end, if we can sort out our defending again and bring in 2-3 more, we might have a go.
Cowardly assault on Small which reminded me of an identical incident at Accrington a while back.
Accrington player got a severe suspension when it was reviewed on TV footage.

We all needed that, ugly though it might have been for large parts. Great to see the togetherness at the end and relief no doubt. Small and Aneke worked their socks off. Especially happy for those in the away end.

What a turnaround. Although we battled hard it’s undeniable that we were outplayed for at least 60 minutes of that match. Great credit to Nathan Jones for the tactical and personnel changes that helped us turn it around. Yes, it was a fortunate deflection for our second goal but don't underestimate the skill with which Karoy Anderson turned to create the space for his shot.

A hard won win and three invaluable points going into our next two, very winnable, fixtures.

    OK I'll say it.

I don't get the great credit toJones for the tactical and personnel change line

Firstly, the starting team was crying out for a couple of changes. Anderson probably should have started. And the subs were nearly left too late - Leaburn had one of those nights when he should have been taken off much earlier.

Jones has been a lucky man tonight and if we had lost that, the comments here would be very different.

All that said, huge credit to the team for nicking a win after what has been a long and tiring run and to every one of the 156 fans there who travelled. The real men of the match.

Fantastic to have an unbiased post match interview
  • If I've read the BBC L1 table correctly, in the last 6 games we have the 3rd highest points total (13), behind Leyton (16) & Brum (14).

And we're 4 off the the playoffs.

GD is not terrible either.  Not great, but not terrible.

Why do we all think we're so sh1t atm?    I mean, I know we are at times, but a couple of decent additions.....and who knows.

Bolton conceding 41 goals in 26 games is awful for a team expected to be chasing promotion. Weird too, when Evatt was a CB.
