I didn’t think there was much between the sides for the majority of the game, the subs changed it in our favour. Bolton are a shadow of the team they were and Evatt, the twat, must be on borrowed time. Credit to us for sticking at it, I do think this season we have more fight and togetherness about us. Whether it will happen who knows but a couple of decent signings could be the difference of a play off spot, or not. Need someone better for the Berry role and a left sided CH. There wasn’t much quality on show tonight but everyone put a shift in and that’s the minimum requirement. Need to take 10/12 points from the next five games.
  • Is that the first time we’ve come from behind to win in the league?

I thought midfield wise Bolton passing was great. Their weird obsession with trying to play it out the back with league one defenders cost them at the valley and it did them no favours tonight. Will never understand it at this level.

Most relieved after that will be the panel for Thursdays Q&A
Would be pretty cool if they announced a 3 year contract for LJ.

Interesting that the team stayed over after Saturday, and not the first time we've done that. Credit has to be given to the SMT for this.

What a turnaround. Although we battled hard it’s undeniable that we were outplayed for at least 60 minutes of that match. Great credit to Nathan Jones for the tactical and personnel changes that helped us turn it around. Yes, it was a fortunate deflection for our second goal but don't underestimate the skill with which Karoy Anderson turned to create the space for his shot.

A hard won win and three invaluable points going into our next two, very winnable, fixtures.

    OK I'll say it.

I don't get the great credit toJones for the tactical and personnel change line

Firstly, the starting team was crying out for a couple of changes. Anderson probably should have started. And the subs were nearly left too late - Leaburn had one of those nights when he should have been taken off much earlier.

Jones has been a lucky man tonight and if we had lost that, the comments here would be very different.

All that said, huge credit to the team for nicking a win after what has been a long and tiring run and to every one of the 156 fans there who travelled. The real men of the match.
Understand that point of view but have to disagree, I thought he was right to start with the same team, partly because they had done very well in the recent weeks leading up to Rotherham, and partly because they would have been fired up to put that dreadful performance to rights. It certainly paid off in terms of fight and determination and Jones had both the bottle and the nous to make the changes he did when we needed to both change and up our game.

Our next 5 games are against opposition below us in the table so it’s a crucial ‘do or die’ period if we’re going to get ourselves in the mix of the playoffs - you’d like to think we will be getting a minimum of 10 points from these next 5.

Big shoutout to the coms tonight. Love brownie and thought Charlotte did really well.
Sorry to say, I couldn’t agree less.

I love Brownie’s often sharp perspectives - in the studio, but not at length during the match, when the ball’s in play. As for Charlotte she’s a talented broadcaster but commentating is a specific skill. There was a spell in the second half of about two full minutes when the ball was in play all the time and they were chuntering to each other as if they were in the studio. I can’t imagine how frustrating it was for anyone with audio -only access.

And I can see where you are coming from.

But let's be honest, for 70 minutes we were second best and never really looked like scoring until Gillesphey floated in a superb cross. (Where did that come from after a pretty poor earlier performance from him?). We've nicked that win. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad we did but let's not think that Jones produced a tactical masterpiece tonight.

I'd say a minimum of 13, especially with 4 of the 5 being at home.

Great win when we didn't play very well. Both teams looked poor but in all fairness so does most of the league with the exception of Birmingham. Sign some players now Charlton the team needs help big time. So badly need an attcking midfielder and some wingers/attackers with pace.

If we can find an attacking mid to replace Berry and a left centre back to replace Gillesphey we may still make it to the playoffs. They are consistently now our weakest links.
And bring REG or Zach Mitchell in to replace Alex Mitchell.
Don't forget Ramsay is likely to back in the reckoning at the weekend/next week too
Ramsey at LWB and Small on the right will make a massive difference
You'd drop Edwards to play Ramsay out of position on the left?

Yeah I think Charlotte has a talent for reporting but she’s not a commentator at all.

Cant believe that switched off at 1-0 and thought that was that. That will teach me.
I missed it too, in even worse circumstances. See the General Things That Annoy Your Thread.  Still seething at my own stupidity.

Is there anything sweeter than the undeserved victory against an irritating opponent?
Jones will large it up now - it was utter bollox and without LJ we would have lost that.
'We would have lost without the players who play for us' is the most hilariously broken brain commentary of the season. We'd have lost if we'd put out 14 cats and a cabbage as well, probably best we used the footballers we have under contract.

Just back home. No one I’m more pleased for are all those still on their journey home down south. Leaburn not even attempting to close down the player to clear it from their own corner flag and score was criminal. Big chucks made a difference but changing to a back 4 was more vital. UTA

Was the person taken ill in the home stands or ours? Hope they're well whichever end of course, just wasn't made clear on here.

It looked like a home area, along the side of the pitch

"We look at them and they've got the win, but very direct, very simplistic. I'm not sure I'd want to watch that every week"

Quote by Evatt. Simple, direct football won the game and at this point, Bolton fans would watch shite football if it meant winning and climbing the table.

It was a home fan in the west stand.

Today was my fourth time at The Reebok Stadium. Despite everybody saying that we never seem to win there, I have only ever seen Charlton win there...

Well I'm not sure either, but it helps when we win  ;)
