I didn’t think there was much between the sides for the majority of the game, the subs changed it in our favour. Bolton are a shadow of the team they were and Evatt, the twat, must be on borrowed time. Credit to us for sticking at it, I do think this season we have more fight and togetherness about us. Whether it will happen who knows but a couple of decent signings could be the difference of a play off spot, or not. Need someone better for the Berry role and a left sided CH. There wasn’t much quality on show tonight but everyone put a shift in and that’s the minimum requirement. Need to take 10/12 points from the next five games.6

Is that the first time we’ve come from behind to win in the league?1

I thought midfield wise Bolton passing was great. Their weird obsession with trying to play it out the back with league one defenders cost them at the valley and it did them no favours tonight. Will never understand it at this level.15

Fantastic result even if the performance didn’t deserve it. Great to have Jones in amongst the goals again.
Huge confidence boost for Anderson as well. It doesn’t matter how they go in, they all count. It was also a decent effort following a nice bit of the use of his body and a touch taking him to goal.
Thought the subs made a big difference, Aneke’s presence was important and really helped our ability to get the ball in their defensive third. Leaburn is brilliant but he’s still not able to hold the ball well for a player of his size. That’s an area he has to work on.
Think it was mentioned but if Small had a good final product he’d be nowhere near our team. He has to work on it but I’d love for him to sign a new deal and work on it.
Really hope Ramsay comes back into the side this weekend. There’s no chance Small drops out but we need Ramsay’s quality back. So let’s get him back in and let Small push forward and cause them issues more.
I know you can manipulate things to make your point but really when you look at the next 12 fixtures, we are either at home or in London for 9 of them.
Another way of looking at it is we are at home in 6 of our next 9 games.
This result really gives us the chance to kick on and go on that run of form we desperately need to give ourselves the chance of play-offs.
It’s this next chunk of fixtures that will define our season. We have to be getting as many wins as possible.23 -

What a turnaround. Although we battled hard it’s undeniable that we were outplayed for at least 60 minutes of that match. Great credit to Nathan Jones for the tactical and personnel changes that helped us turn it around. Yes, it was a fortunate deflection for our second goal but don't underestimate the skill with which Karoy Anderson turned to create the space for his shot.
A hard won win and three invaluable points going into our next two, very winnable, fixtures.
I don't get the great credit toJones for the tactical and personnel change line
Firstly, the starting team was crying out for a couple of changes. Anderson probably should have started. And the subs were nearly left too late - Leaburn had one of those nights when he should have been taken off much earlier.
Jones has been a lucky man tonight and if we had lost that, the comments here would be very different.
All that said, huge credit to the team for nicking a win after what has been a long and tiring run and to every one of the 156 fans there who travelled. The real men of the match.7 -
Our next 5 games are against opposition below us in the table so it’s a crucial ‘do or die’ period if we’re going to get ourselves in the mix of the playoffs - you’d like to think we will be getting a minimum of 10 points from these next 5.2

Love brownie and thought Charlotte did really well.I love Brownie’s often sharp perspectives - in the studio, but not at length during the match, when the ball’s in play. As for Charlotte she’s a talented broadcaster but commentating is a specific skill. There was a spell in the second half of about two full minutes when the ball was in play all the time and they were chuntering to each other as if they were in the studio. I can’t imagine how frustrating it was for anyone with audio -only access.11

But let's be honest, for 70 minutes we were second best and never really looked like scoring until Gillesphey floated in a superb cross. (Where did that come from after a pretty poor earlier performance from him?). We've nicked that win. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad we did but let's not think that Jones produced a tactical masterpiece tonight.2 -

Great win when we didn't play very well. Both teams looked poor but in all fairness so does most of the league with the exception of Birmingham. Sign some players now Charlton the team needs help big time. So badly need an attcking midfielder and some wingers/attackers with pace.4

Just back home. No one I’m more pleased for are all those still on their journey home down south. Leaburn not even attempting to close down the player to clear it from their own corner flag and score was criminal. Big chucks made a difference but changing to a back 4 was more vital. UTA6

Also the ref bottled 2 red cards. Also I hope whoever was taken ill is okay!2

Was the person taken ill in the home stands or ours? Hope they're well whichever end of course, just wasn't made clear on here.0

Well, it wasn't a great game, but the subs definitely made a difference, and we did well to hang on to the win. The match thread was definitely somewhat manic depressive, epitomised by @WillmoreTheRed who wins the "Weathervane of the Match Thread award for going from this at 9:13pmWillmoreTheRed said:I’m done with this, not even going to bother with the rest of the home games I’ve got on my ST.I have no want to watch us play mediocre football and finish 13th again.to this at 9:20pm (just after Jones scored)WillmoreTheRed said:Fine I’ll go Saturday….WillmoreTheRed said:Can we renew our season tickets yet?while the "Barefaced Cheek of the Night" award goes to @Athletico Charlton for the shameless attempt at rewriting history here:given that he edited said post on p21 at 9:37pmAthletico Charlton said:Athletico Charlton said:You bunch of moaners.
Reckon we win this 1-2 with a goal from Jones (maybe even an unlikely Gillesphy assist) then a winner near the end from Anderson.
Mark my words.

"We look at them and they've got the win, but very direct, very simplistic. I'm not sure I'd want to watch that every week"
Quote by Evatt. Simple, direct football won the game and at this point, Bolton fans would watch shite football if it meant winning and climbing the table.4 -

Today was my fourth time at The Reebok Stadium. Despite everybody saying that we never seem to win there, I have only ever seen Charlton win there...10 -
