We're enjoying 'The Crow Girl' with the lovely Eve Myles. Binged 4 of the 6 episodes last night.

American Primeval on Netflix is excellent. Very gritty western limited series with a great story.

Two episodes into this one and enhoying it. Pretty brutal and makes 1883 look tame in comparison!

The bit that got me ( and this is not really a spoiler) is the episode that ended with him in fairly slow looking boat, being pursued by others in speed boats.

Next episode , no reference to how he escaped !!

    WTF.

He is also the assassin with the most noise associated with his killings. Thought they were meant to be stealthy !

The whole thing was just awfully thought out.
    So many holes.
And then there was the awful acting.
    My word, absolute nonsense.

His wife was seriously fit though (actor Úrsula Corberó)
Worth watching just for her bits.
  • Just binge watched Shogun 2024. Can see why the awards are tumbling in for the series and its actors. A Japanese Wolf Hall.

I'm starting to think Severance might be the best TV show I've ever seen.

Five Episodes into the first season having never watched it previously.

First four I've been sitting here thinking: "Really"

Now it finally feels as though its about to start doing something

Loved Shogun. Is Wolf Hall worth a go?

Absolutely. Not as visually great as Shogun but similar in quality of writing and with better acting. Both superb shows (and great books)

It gets better as well - unbelievable quality of writing and performances. Not a weak link in the entire cast.

Cra - in Irish with subtitles, BBC4. Crime drama set in west of Ireland - small town vibe where they all know each other. Pretty good.

  • Yeah Severance S1 really improves as it goes along... copies Silo a bit where the main bulk of the season is almost filler, and then the last two / three Episodes really ramp up.

Glad I dont have to wait three years for the Cliff-hanger it leaves you on :)

Won’t give no spoilers but loved watching The Traitors and will be seeking out the previous series in future weeks.

    @laurathered your friend seemed lovely.

Just had to look back for who that was, they did indeed!

Do seek out the previous series - no reason to watch in order, the second series is cracking.

    Same.
But I smashed the first series out whilst in between episodes of this latest series!
I wouldn't advise it if I'm honest. I was struggling to remember who had been in what series and got myself in a bit of a muddle at one point. Think I'll give it a couple of weeks before wading through the second series...and then onto the American, Australian,Dutch......... I'm obsessed!

Love the way they make a few rule tweaks as each series passes to spice it up a bit. Thought the 'See-er' was a great little twist and also not being able to reveal whether youre a traitor or not at the final table. I do think the young traitor fella in the first series got short changed a bit without that rule. He kinda got hung out to dry. Which was a shame because he was great.

Both on iplayer, the second series is the best of the three.

Enjoyed the fact Charlotte sounded practically the same on Uncloaked doing her normal accent as she has whilst doing the fake one!

Binged S1 of Severance this weekend and as you say @Leroy Ambrose it’s up there with the best.
The last episode in particular is superb.
    On to S2…

The first two of S2 are better! So relieved I waited three years for something and it turned out not be shite 🤣

An old one and I've seen it before a couple of times, but binged Detectorists over the last few nights. Absolutely love it and well worth the additional watch.

First series was on during the Qatar World Cup so wasn’t on our radar. It was only at Christmas that year, when brother in law said he couldn’t believe we hadn't watched it. Binged it between Xmas and new year and watched series 2 live.
