That'll be a laugh, Birmingham and Villa both at home{wtf}, with 5000 fans pouring in from East Anglia and London.
Arsenal and tottenham
Forest and County
Celtic and Rangers
Both Sheffield clubs. etc etc
Barring extreme cases all play on different days.0 -

It helps that it's Charlton and Ipswich, so no rivalry. If Villa had been playing Leeds or West Ham, and Birmingham had been playing Millwall, there's no way both games would be on the same day.1 -

You would have to be thick as mince if you were running a business like that2

clive said:Well if my memory serves me right, for the games at the old Den it was always pay on the day & the infamous away section was in the corner behind the floodlight pylon.
It was the New Den when we were allocated the top tier & requested the lower tier for more tickets.
I expect the remainder of this seasons away allocations to sell out bar Mansfield possibly & if we are get to the play-offs we will not receive anymore more tickets than normal from the clubs presently in the play-off positions.2 -

- the club
- the local media
- CAST
- all other organised supporter clubs/groups
- all of us on here.Have the years of dross made us so passive?
so what would kicking up a fuss look like in this instance?
@clive they may have sold all but 400 tickets but does that include selling out in sections that they have chosen to give to away fans in other matches this season? As an example of what I mean, we sold out our Doncaster play-off home game by the previous Wednesday but the attendance was 25,000 something, not 27,000.
A map of the end where Charlton fans will be located is on the link below, the away section is GM1-4, maybe part or all of GM 4 will be left empty for segregation purposes.
The Millwall example is completely different as the lower tier would have been empty & not used by Millwall fans.

But on the other hand having looked I can see that they really are pretty full this season (although their claimed capacity is 29,000 so at least 1,000 places seem to permanently missing from sale). And even 4 weeks ago we probably didn't expect to sell more than 1.5k max.
This issue might come up again if we reach the playoffs. OK probably not with this lot, but since we are always generous with our allocation, we are entitled to expect some transparency from the other clubs.
I was chuffed that pressure gave us the next section. I bought my tickets and found that I was still behind the bastard pylon!1 -
The pylon enclosure was too small prolly 1,500 but with the next section it was massive and I can’t recall it being busy at all
