Vital 3 points on the road.

A leggy performance though. That seemed like one game too many for some. I thought Anderson and Leaburn were poor, but defence was excellent again.
Also thought it was leggy towards the end. Hopefully we can grind out the 3pts on Saturday and then have a well earned two week break for internationals before a nine-game mini-season to the finish line.
  • I've watched better things. Like my own colonoscopy. Much like my colonoscopy though after a generally sedate event with a few uncomfortable moments here and there it ended with a positive outcome and I shouldn't have to go there again for a long time all being well. I have nothing else to add, you get the colonoscopy analogy today. Goodnight.
It’s the enema beforehand that really gets you.
  • We are gonna finish 2nd
  • Still can’t quite believe this run is continuing based on the last 4 seasons and how we were playing up until Northampton- I keep thinking it’s all going to come crashing down, but we’re now just 5 pts off 2nd

What a run.  They’ve been excellent

10 games left, Wrexham, Wycombe and Huddersfield left that are in and around us

Wigan at home will be tough, as will Peterborough away.

Mansfield are on the slide so now have something to play for, as do Cambridge, Northampton and Burton.

obviously the table could change quite a bit by the time we play some of them, but some tough games imo
  • Jones and Coventry have got to be in team of the year.

Ramsay should be but his full back stats prob work against him.
  • Winning Ugly and scrappy is a sign of a determined  team, we should have scored  3 Goals  but a clean sheet and three more points, onwards and upwards 👍👍👍

  • Wasn't always pretty but 3 points on the road at what was definitely a potential banana skin is great from the lads. Lloyd Jones is just so crucial to us, a colossus at the back in the air but also so calm in the final third on the ball at times! Proper Rolls Royce at the minute.

We can quite easily find ourselves 3 points off Wrexham and Wycombe in the automatics on Saturday evening...If that is the case, with 9 games to go and with them both still to play, who would bet against us?
  • Shoutout to the Sky commentator who said Macualey Gillesphey had won Ligue 1 with Plymouth, mistook Godden for Leaburn at one point, and then said us catching Wycombe was virtually impossible.  Not that I could do any better
Winning the French league with Plymouth is particularly impressive
I used to work in Plymouth a lot and sometimes my phone would connect to French networks so maybe that is why - Plymouth's really been in France all along.
  • Oh and it gets better.

Wycombe play Wrexham on Saturday, and Bolton play Stockport
Could be a massive Saturday if (big “if’s”!) Charlton win and those games are a draw. Might stick a couple of quid on it!

Just said this to my lad. Somehow we need to get through Sat with a win. Then take a breather.

If Lloyd Jones gets injured we are going to have a massive hole to fill. Absolute beast tonight. Imperious. I'm not knocking Doherty and I would have him straight back in on Saturday, but I prefer Jones as captain. He has become a real leader this season.
Agree, would have Jones, but Ramsay was captain today
I’m sure Jones was captain tonight.
Really? Comms team definitely said Ramsay was

  • Not looked at forthcoming fixtures, taking one game at a time. Seen some comments about postponing a game due to international break in order to give the players a rest. I say don’t. Carry on while we have the momentum.
  • Great win, and defence superb (again) but we made hard work of it, and were quite lucky again to win. Why on earth Hylton comes on ahead of Kanu is embarrassing - last 15 minutes were a tough watch
    Experience is why.
  • Jones definitely had the armband.

Just seen on Twitter, it was Jones... not sure where they/I got that one from!
  • Well, Jones was wearing the armband...

Well it’s still stupid, he gave away a foul after 30 seconds and kicked it out of play twice. Kanu can press and Hylton can’t
