Any ideas how many games we have had live on sky? Have we had 20 games?
From what I can work out, if every game that's not 3pm Saturday has been on TV, plus 2 Saturday 3pm games that have been in the international breaks, we'll be on 21 by the end of the season. So there's no contractual need to be on TV again, however I would be surprised if we're not on it for Wrexham, and usually they move the last games of the season to be on TV

The Easter games are live on SKY+ & on the last day of the season all EFL games will be screened live with League 1 games kicking off at 15.00 on the Saturday.
Teams at the top will be on more than mid table ones. Big teams will be on more than smaller ones, lets face it Burton vs Shrewsbury will get tiny numbers when compared to Bolton vs Birmingham, both from neutrals and supporters of the clubs.

Cheers. Expecting Wrexham to be on too but was just wondering whether it would have to be. Doesn't feel like we've been on the tele 20 times.

Think this is a success of the deal, lots of people on here were worried about games being moved all the time but it’s not actually happened much
Please excuse the geekiness, but I’ve kept what I think is
an accurate list (to be fair it is/was a list of forthcoming games I could look
forward to watching as someone not able to physically attend matches)

@clive can correct me if I’m wrong, but I’m almost 100% certain the “non” league games count to the 20. The marketing was simply that each team would be shown 20 times a season
(This is partially based on some pre season number crunching I saw which suggested without EFL trophy games, they wouldn’t be able to feature L2 teams 20 times each given the scheduling they’d announced)
Every team has to be on Sky a certain amount of times, I can't remember the amount but clearly Mansfield and Rotherham are below the number
I believe every team will be shown live at least 20 times.
On this, we know every team has to be shown a minimum of 20 times. This could’ve been achieved by having the game on the red button (sky sports +) channel only, so for that (seemingly random) pick to have been made, suggests that each team is entitled to at least one game a season on the main “Sky Sports Football” channel (arguably added exposure I guess)
A post elsewhere suggests Mansfield are the last team not to have appeared on Sky Sports Football prior to this game being scheduled.
We were on the “main” channel against Cambridge in December, and may have been on once or twice more
So do we want to be shown a lot cos it’s not fair that Leeds are shown a lot and get shitty kick off times and fixtures moved or do we not want to be shown a lot so we can carry on with the much preferred 3pm Saturday afternoon kick offs .

Wrexham are already live throughout April. Their games on Saturday 5th and 12th are 12:30 kick offs and with two midweek games and the two Easter fixtures that's six before our game. Also two of the League One games have already been moved to the Sunday 27th as Brum are playing Stevenage on Thursday 24th in a rearranged game. That leaves 10 League One games to pick two from on the 26th.
No announcement at 4PM for TV selection. Random comment on Twitter says won’t find out until next Thursday for the Wrexham match.
Thought they were to give 4 weeks notice to change a game for TV.
I have absolutely no idea. They’ve done their announcements at 4PM on Thursday for last few months, but there isn’t one today. It would be helpful if there was some communication as to when an announcement will be made.

The clubs and “stakeholders” then have a further few days before it has to be confirmed. You might hope fans count as stakeholders but it seems not.
From the EFL:
Selections for matches scheduled after the first weekend in March will be made by the broadcasters on a four-week rolling basis starting from 1 February (e.g. a selection for the first weekend in April will be selected in the first weekend in March). The selections will then be announced to supporters following an agreement with all required stakeholders within seven days.

Yes, CAST have just checked with the club and had it confirmed at three weeks’ notice for the penultimate weekend. They were also hoping to hear today.

Alright. Can see a sandstorm sorry shitstorm if this is not sorted out sooner.

2 more contractual obligation games tonight on Sky.
The main match (also on ITV4) is Sheffield United vs Coventry, but at the same time are also Colchester vs Grimsby and Tranmere vs Cheltenham. I can just imagine what the away fans think about that.

Every League One and League Two team will be featured live on Sky at least 20 times in the 2024/25 season
And every one of the 24 Championship clubs will be live on Sky at least 24 times.
