As I posted at HT.....best performance I've seen all.season and it was an all round display from all 15 players. Cant pick out a standout player as they all played their socks off but just a shame it took half the season to get going.
Play offs almost nailed on but need another 8-10 points to be sure. Think top 2 have gone seeing as Wycombe & Wrexham both won again but would like to finish 3rd or 4th so still work to be done.
So pleasing to be able to sit for the last 30 mins without worrying about anything. MOTM......their keeper.33 -
Doherty and Coventry superb in midfield. Jones as always, brilliant. Godden great and TC unplayable. Long may it continue3

After today I dont see Huddersfield as top 6 material. About as close to a complete performance as you could reasonably expect. Faultless in defence, cohesive in midfield, and deadly in attack. Without any exaggeration at all that could’ve been 6 or 7. Which would’ve been richly deserved.I was wondering if we might struggle a bit after last weeks disappointment, especially against a team also in the playoffs. No chance. We battered them from start to finish.It was great to see the Nordic players presented on the pitch before the start. I think they would’ve been impressed too by what they saw.5

I remember Curbs saying that if we hadn't gone up in 1998, that team would have been broken up and no doubt the likes of Rufus, Kinsella and Mendonca would have been sold.
If we don't go up this season, it is sadly too easy to see Small move on (actually even if we go up, I have a feeling he may well look for a better pay day) with the likes of Campbell (who after his performance today must surely have some Championship clubs - at least - looking at him) and Ramsay.

An all round marvellous afternoon at The Valley and a perfect response to the last week’s reversal. Great credit is due to Nathan Jones and his staff and, of course, to the character of the players.
An outstanding team performance in which every man knew his job and executed it exceptionally well. We defended resolutely, closed down relentlessly when out of possession, won practically every 50/50 challenge and threatened nearly every time we went forward.
It feels invidious to single out individuals but Coventry was absolutely outstanding (if there’s a fitter midfielder in this division, I’d like to see him), Berry had his best game for us, Godden gave another display of excellent centre-forward play and Tyreece Campbell was absolutely unplayable. A shout out also to Josh Edwards for a typically robust and effective display upon his return to the side. He is such an important player for us and, in addition to his fine defensive contribution, his inclusion allowed Small to terrorise Huddersfield’s left back throughout the first half.
Without derogating from an outstanding team performance - very probably our best of the season - Huddersfield were pretty hopeless. Conceding a goal in the first 30 seconds and another after 20 minutes is hardly good for morale but I felt their heads went down and, in addition to the absence of any good play, they lacked fight and (thankfully) any determination to make a game of it. If they repeat anything like that level of performance, they’ll have no chance of making the play-offs.
Looking forward to Tuesday’s trip to Mansfield, with hopefully all today’s starters fit and ready to go. I think Clive posted that we’d sold around 740 tickets as at yesterday - given today’s tonking of the Terriers, we’ll hopefully shift a couple of hundred more and the team will have the backing of 1,000 noisy Addicks.

Lovely sunny day out at The Valley resulted in yet another dominant, confident and complete performance in the style the manager demands.
After listening to Louis and the pod this morning in the car on the way up, I had optimism for a good result, but felt this could absolutely be a banana skin game we could trip up in. Huddersfield can be a good side, and with them on a change of manager bounce and us coming off a loss, common sense dictates that this could be more dropped points to a side around us. There was none of it - straight back to the good habits and positives of the how-many-is-it-I've-lost-count home games we have won on the spin since December. Just another marker to NJ in the fact that everyone to a man played their role correctly and believes in him - when you see it work like this, you feel foolish to have ever questioned it. NJ deals in absolutes to his players, and the binary outcome of working or not was firmly in the former today. He is very much at the wheel and self-evident today after the defeat last week.
Credit to the players themselves - performances everywhere that feel a tad unfair to not mention everyone (barring maybe the exceptionally little that Mannion did have to do). Two young players that I will talk about will be Coventry and TC - I love seeing both of them fulfil their potential. Coventry was absolutely everywhere, nicking balls away and controlling the pace of the game. Everything positive started with or through him. Perhaps Jones is statistically the most impactful player we have had this season, but I just love seeing this lad ply his trade in the way he does. It's just so good and, with big boots to fill amongst the fans with Dobbo going, this lad has been some player this year. Similarly, TC continues to just tear people apart all game, but today, two clean, clean finishes in the way that he clearly works on to shoot low and hard into corners with both feet. He has come on so far this season and so much is down to not just his pace, but the work ethic he put in to improve and bulk up. If he can share that blueprint with Dixon in this coming summer, I think it's a way forward he could also benefit from.
We keep ourselves on pace for potentially a third/fourth-placed finish. I'm daring to dream of that second game at home under the lights, where we could treat ourselves to another Wembley visit. We can absolutely go up this year.9 -

Among the many things that has improved within the side is their overall level of fitness, which is quite something. More important than ever given the amount of added time these days and the number of late goals we’ve scored this season is clearly no coincidence.8

I was at the game today - absolutely brilliant all round performance.
If we play at that level, we may well go up through the play offs - need to keep them all fit.

Can we have 12.30 kick-offs every week?One of the best Valley trips I’ve had in years.Absolutely swarmed them throughout, played some fantastic football and could put your feet up with half an hour left…Didn’t realise how much I loved Edwards until
today, what a signing - the balance of the team is much better now he’s back.
Could not be happier for TC - to see the player he was under Appleton to now is incredible, hope he’s with us for the foreseeable.
Delighted we have a game on Tuesday, more of the same please!11 -
My first home game for a couple of years. Can’t remember such a commanding performance, if we’d scored 7 or 8 it wouldn’t have been an injustice. Fantastic day, although am a bit pissed now!12

Bloody wonderful, about 4.5 hours since full time and I’m still on cloud nine!
Brilliant performance all round (as you’d expect in a 4-0 win), but special mention to Coventry - think that’s as close to a 10/10 individual performance as I can remember.Also thought the ref was probably the best we’ve had this season, really let the game flow.12 -
I thought Huddersfield’s no. 27 was their most lively player. Unfortunately for them he got less than 20 minutes on the pitch.0
