  • It was a leisure shirt rather than a shirt to be worn by players.

It has the wrong date and is vile but still sells.

Possibly the worst bit of CAFC merchandising ever.
    Thanks, I quite like it!

    Nothing beats the centenary shirt
Exactly. We had 100 years to come up with something and it was that monstrosity of an effort. I'd guess we'll try again in 2030 for our 125th. Let's hope we make a better fist of it.
  • I want to buy a mesh 1998-2000 home shirt in medium for my sons 18th if anyone has one to sell.  I’ve seen on eBay occasionally but stupid money.  Can anyone help?
    This one?

    yes that one

That's miles clear as the worst. Found my dad's one in the loft the other day and still have no idea how it was ever approved. Just made from the weirdest itchy fabric too.

  • im still on the look out for a medium red Mesh 98-2000 if anyone has one to sell for my Sons 18th.  Second choice is Di Canio shirt - cant remember the year but think it was Joma and all sports - medium again if anyone is looking to sell

    I bought it !
I remember seeing that shirt around the season we just missed out on the playoffs at Upton Park... and thought it was mint!
  • I used to wear that shirt to Upton Park but don't know what became of it.

I also liked the centenary shirt.

I still have that white 'Viglen' one.

The ecru one was great but I gave it away on my last day at work in a school in Indonesia to a cleaner guy. He was well chuffed but sometimes now I half regret it. I just hope he got lots of use out of it.
