Nice run out in the sun - and avoiding a trip to Stockport. Happy Days.
Midfield was very effective today with Gilbert adding finesse in the first half with some lovely passing. Ramsey was having a ball at the back and driving forward at every opportunity but my shout out goes to Mitchell who overcame that early horror pass to play very well at the back.
Given how miserable things have been over the past decade 4th in League One is a really good finish, especially considering how much we've had to build back up and how many new players and ideas we've had to bed in. The run we've been on since December has been absolutely incredible and if not for a very ropey November I think we would have been celebrating automatic promotion today. If anything I'm actually glad we lost to Wrexham because this was the first game of the season I didn't really worry about and it would have been a much more sickening blow to win that, win today and still fall just short. We got to enjoy it a bit more today and celebrate the result without any caveats. No matter what happens in the Playoffs this season has shown huge progress, and even if it doesn't end up being a 'good' season by the end of May it will still be something to build on, which I don't think is something we've felt like we've had since 2012. On to Wycombe now.
This, couldn't agree more, its been amazing second half bearing in mind Nathan wanted too or had to offload 7 players and receive no money to buy anybody in January.
We should all proud and even over the next 2/3 games if we give it 110% but still come up short then I for one won't be angry but would hope/expect next season that our Board dig deep as its been proved (doesn't happen always) that the two teams who spent the most this year
A very professional performance and overrall a decent season compared to last.
I'd love the promotion for the cherry on top, but at least we aren't a joke in this league anymore.
Playing Wycombe as expected, and that's arguably the easiest game in the play-offs left based on form. Quietly confident we can get to Wembley, then hopefully the football God's are with us.
Excellent day, with a comfortable win, 2 more goals for Godden who is in superb form, no injuries or suspensions and Stockport beating Wycombe. And once the game was won, we could then rest players.
The game panned out as I hoped/expected, with Burton lacking that 10% of extra commitment they would have given if the game mattered to them, hence the lack of aggro other than one baffling and somewhat unnecessary incident involving Watson.
Mitchell had an awful start, but his role in our equaliser definitely settled him down, and he played well for the rest of the game.
We would all of kept the faith anyway, it's in the blood and the dna of all of us, but for the first time in years, Charlton brings a smile to my face and hopefully yours, not a weary resigned grimace. From December we have been invariably dogged and occaisionally brilliant. If we finish it off with a win at Wembley, it will be wholely deserved and I for one can put to the back of my mind all the relentless morale sapping, hope smashing shit of the last 10-ish years. Charlton the footballing soap opera.
we have the tie we wanted with the 2nd leg at home .. Wycombe with a 2nd half collapse look shot .. if we don't get to Wembley, we will only have ourselves to blame

3 in form teams in the playoffs, and one who seem to have hit the wall.
Stockport Vs Orient will be a tough game, Orient will be buzzing.
If we have everyone back the the subs will surely be Gilbert, probably Mitchell and Watson, but which strikers will he choose, Chucks probably, but who else?
That couldn't have gone much better. Now we need to focus on Wycombe. It would be very easy to underestimate them after we gave them a hiding just a couple of weeks ago, but we must be careful not to do so. I hope Nathan doesn't allow any complacency to sneak in.

Fullah looked threatening when he came on. I'd like to see him given a place on the bench.
Odd first half with defensive errors galore. Great end of season fayre though. Good to go into the play-offs with a win. Kayne Ramsay just gets better and better, twi wonderful balls slipped through their back line as he rampaged forward.

Chuks only available for the second leg. It's all set up for him to dispossess Leahy and smash it into the Covered End goal.

Roll on the play-offs, see you all in Wycombe 👍🏻

Well done Charlton, the lads and well done NJ.
Up the Addicks, whatever happens next.
3-1, with Crawley out for 1.

Small looked ok. I don't remember seeing Berry.
