A great afternoon at The Valley:
● Easy win
● Fine team performance
● Three well taken goals
● Every Charlton player played well
● Practically full home end
● Banana Conga in the away end
● On pitch mosh pit action
● Awards ceremony on the pitch (more inclusive)
● Lovely sunny weather
● Best possible draw in the play offs26 -

Small looked ok. I don't remember seeing Berry.6 -
As much as I hope we get Small back soon Watson has offered some really brilliant stuff in an attacking sense in the last two games. There's question marks over his partnership with Ramsay down that side given they'd both ideally like to be right backs, but Watson's intelligent running led to our two best chances against Wrexham, one he should have scored or assisted after a great run and touch and the other he deserved an assist for off another brilliantly timed run. His pass for Godden today was exceptional and if he can keep offering that level of threat we won't miss Small anywhere near as much as we would have feared a couple of weeks ago25

There was a moment in the second half where “Stand Up If You Love Charlton” was sang, and barely any home fans in the entire ground was still sitting. It burst into a round of applause soon after too, it hit all the feels. This feels special, even more so than 2019. Personally it’s the most connected I’ve felt with a squad in a long time, and The Valley hasn’t felt this happy in years. Even though we had a bad blip, this has been one of my favourite seasons in the 29 years I’ve had of supporting this club47

Shout out to the Burton fans who, despite losing, were just partying the whole game and loved the banana conga!
Glad we have Wycombe as did not fancy Stockport in the semis but we can beat them at Wembley on a wide pitch with Small/Campbell. Wycombe will lick their wounds and let's remember that a wounded animal is a dangerous one so no complacency but if we turn up and play as we have then Wembley here we come.....

So good to see our dear friend @HalfGlassFull on the pitch presenting Lloyd Jones with his POTY award. Well done Alan37

Par.
4th highest budget. Finished 4th.
Big improvement on previous seasons.
Now win the play offs please.4 -
Nice to watch a game with no real pressure. Shout out to Mitchell for recovering from a terrible start, playing a big part in Godden's goal and getting one himself. As others have said, no bad performances and was great to see Gilbert full of energy and invention. I think Berry starts over him if fit but what a great option to be able to call on.
The game was won when the subs came on but all did well. Cracking effort from Fullah and Kanu looked the sharpest he's been for some time.
"No technical ability" Anderson looked full of technical ability as well as getting the tackles in.
Godden is on such great form that he'll be a handful for anyone we play before the season is out.
Very happy with Wycombe in the semis, just need NJ to make sure the players approach it right and we have a great chance of progressing.11 -
To think that going into the Huddersfield match in March ? They were in the play off places and a good six points ? ahead of us. And we finished 21 points ahead of them. I tell ya, that’s some achievement. We have the momentum going into the playoffs. Let’s just get this done Charlton UTA26

Came down from Nottinghamshire for this one and really pleased I have broken my 2025 record of not seeing us win!
Good performance all round and hard to pick a man of the match. Was impressed with Mitchell after that awful start and Golden seems to get better every time I see him. Was also impressed with Fullah who really seems to have an eye for goal. He would have got one it Mbick hadn't deflected it wide!
Great atmosphere from a full Covered End and respect to the Burton lot. They are so quiet at their ground but were in full voice for the whole of this one.
Was it just me or did the ref in blue seemed to clash with Burtons kit. Caught me out a couple of times.
Now let's get the job done and get out of this poxy division!6 - Sponsored links:

Great to see so many youngsters involved today - wonder what the average age of the team that finished the game was? Bodes well for the future.4
