  • Didn’t see Aneke on the pitch at full time
  • Ramsay looked world class. Pretty complete performance.

Mitchell looked excellent at the things he's good at - aerial ability both in our box heading every ball away and in theirs, commanding the area, leading and organising the defense, physicality. But looks uncomfortable when asked to do too much with the ball (though there were some moments that were pretty good 2nd half bit he won't get space and time like that in the playoffs) and lacks a little pace. I've said all along if Jones is out he should play that role. We just need to adapt the way that back line operates at little to not expose his weaknesses.

Campbell is a major concern heading into the play offs his performances over the last 4 games have been very below par ….
Are you on about Alan Campbell?
    Think he means Glen.
That was my first concert aged 8 in 1973.

    He was about today.
  • A guy on the International Addicks WhatsApp, whom I don't know, but  seems pretty solid, says he was at the match and sat with Thierry Small on the train back, and TS told him that he, Jones and Berry will all be fit for next weekend.

Feels like the stars are aligning for us, doesn't it?

Lloyd Jones will probably play with an injection but fit ?
Thierry, we have no idea what his problem was so hope he plays after missing two matches and we were told Berry just had cramp (after 27 minutes !) after his rocket against Wycombe so we really need our best 11 to start and the rest of the 7 on the bench to impact, if and when needed.
  • One small thing, on Charlton TV Terry and greg were plugging the line that today's attendance was the biggest this season for home fans. But that surely isn't true because the Wrexham attendance was 24,692 and Wrexham didn't even sell out their allocation.

Unless they decided that those wearing half and half scarves didn't count as home fans ?

I think they meant in 2025

    Lots of highlights for me:
Mitchell’s goal to cap off his comeback after that back pass. Clearly a popular player and at very least a decent backup centre back. Thought he had a very good game apart from that one mistake.
Fullah hitting the crossbar. Had that gone in on his debut…(it was his debut but wasn’t it?)
    Godden's goals. Both brilliant.
Gilbert’s passing. Sublime at times. Thought he worked hard as well, and I wouldn’t be unhappy to see more of him in the playoffs.
Watson who looks better and better. He can also pass a bit.
Ramsay, back to his best, looked at class apart at times.
Edwards putting on the after burners to outpace their winger. He has pace to burn. And what a ball for Goddon’s second.
Their 20, Srajha, was like a one man defence. Might be worth a closer look.
What an enjoyable afternoon that was.

Though Srajha was awful, very poor close control and unable to do the simple things well.

Only disappointment was Fullah not getting his goal! Still great debut and you can really see what NJ is doing throughout the club. There is a real cohesion with all academy levels. Looks like we have the right team behind the wheel. Coupled with getting rid of CM and a few of the others this season, looks like we’re a club that means business again.

    COYR!

We were talking about this at the game. We can see the u21 getting decent game time in league 1 next year, but there will probably be too big a gap for most to see them much in the championship.

Anyone noticeably absent from the end of season presentations?
Yup unfortunately Small nowhere to be seen. I wonder if he has got a move sorted and we have seen the last of him
He collected an award in person so yes he was there.
    He sent his body double.
NJ said he had to rest and not over exert himself.
I saw him with a Costa at Bluewater yesterday!
    Grass!!
Nah didn’t see him smoking anything
  • Just seen the goals back for the first time. I must have been half-watching in the ground, I'd assumed for Godden's first he was put in by a Burton player, such was the weight of pass and absolute acreage he was in - but great assist for Watson. For Godden's second, I can't be the only one watching that turn past the defender and having a flashback to Mendonca's turn in '98.
The defender made the stupid decision to try and half block Godden's run instead of actually chasing back with him. I had to rewatch the goal a few times because it kept feeling like the defender had just disappeared into thin air. I think if I was the Burton manager I would never stop beating my player for letting a striker run through so unopposed like that
