Very enjoyable watch.  Exciting to see the McLarens both go by Max.  Ferrari getting it all wrong (again).  Great also to see Williams getting stronger every race.  Was hoping, pre-race, for some rain but glad in the end it didn't come.  Overall what a turnaround for McLaren this year - same can be said for Aston Martion (in reverse!).

It wouldn't be a total surprise if Ferrari part company with Hamilton, he's definitely not as fast as he was, he costs a lot of money, and he always seems to be in dispute with team management. Unless theres a big upswing I can't see him being there next year especially if signing Verstappen becomes possible.

Fred Vasseur talking shit. He thinks they did a good job. What a clown.

Sad to read that "Hermann the German", Jochen Mass died today. Emerson Fittipaldi and James Hunts team-mate in the 70s and a great sports car driver.

    RIP

Vasseur said that “I can perfectly understand the frustrations of the drivers” but reiterated that he felt “as a team, we did a good job”.

If both your drivers are pissed off then i'd argue it was anything but a good job.

Aston feels like the perfect case study for chucking money at something for no tangible return.

Signed multiple world champions , so many technical people and Team Principals and built their new factory but with absolutely nothing to show for it. If Newey doesn't produce an absolute rocketship for next season I wonder if the whole team is sold to the Saudis. I genuinely wonder how much Lance Stroll even wants to be on the grid anyway.

I normally find Fred one of the best and most level headed TPs but that is complete and utter nonsense from him. I wonder how long until Lewis is demanding a new race engineer because this relationship with Ricardo Adami seems doomed. Obviously Bono didn't move for personal reasons but it seems completely fractured throughout.

He gets paid very well to travel the world and drive a car without any pressure of potentially losing his seat. Seems like a great job to me. Might as well milk it for as long as his Dad is interested in owning the team because he'll be gone the minute he isn't.

Pretty much confirming what we already knew about Doohan/Colapinto

Oliver Oakes resigns as Team Principal at Alpine. Flavio to take over.

They make Watford look stable. Would expect Franco to be announced tomorrow now.

Flavio shouldn't even be allowed in the paddock , even if his ban was overturned it just sends out all the wrong messages.

Doohan is being replaced by Colapinto from Imola, and clearly Oakes feels undermined as he doesn’t agree. Unbelievable that Flav is back, now officially, given Singapore-gate

Because they want to " evaluate" things before Silverstone apparently. It's like dropping your underperforming keeper for a few games it seems.

Imagine the odds of seeing Aron before the end of the season, and potentially Mini next year are quite high now

Think Aron is probably gone with the Ollie Oakes news. Mini is probably on the list for next season absolutely

Flav now pulling the whole " we had no disagreement it was personal reasons" card. Which is always completely unconvincing.

I'm sure he had a great meeting with Infantino last week in Miami 😂

I wonder if this has anything to do with the other MBS's desire to buy an F1 team and then spending billions of Riyals on said team to win... Surely not!

    https://www.telegraph.co.uk/formula-1/2025/05/08/oliver-oakes-alpine-resigned-days-police-raid-silverstone/

So the Oliver Oakes story has just taken a massive twist , his brother has been arrested in Dubai with a large amount of cash and charged with " transfering criminal property" , Hitech have had their factory raided at Silverstone too.

Maybe Alpine weren’t lying when they clarified it was personal reasons then
