Charlton have to beat Wycombe. We can't have a 2-3 result (against Doncaster) or a 0-1 result (against Shrewsbury) at the Valley this time
I keep thinking I've slept through the game and we are already at Wembley reading the comments.
Enjoyed the game tonight and Orient are there despite being 2 nil down in the 1st leg. They dominated the penalties and now CAFC have to play on the front foot and win a League 1 play off home match.

Best possible result for us tonight, now we need to do the business tomorrow.COYA!!!!!!!0

CAFCTrev said:If we do get through, it’s obvious the media will fawn over Orient. The fairytale narrative writes itself — nearly went bust, dropped to non-league, and now battling their way back. Meanwhile, we torpedoed our own Premier League era and have spent the last 15 years mostly bungling around in League One. No one’s going to care about that.
Good - let then fawn.2 -

But if we don't get to the Final, it'll be the first time we've failed to do so where we've not lost the First Leg.0 -

I believe it's decided by final league position. So either us or Wycombe would have first choice colours.5 -

“ The EFL bases its play-off final kit decisions on the participating clubs’ finishing positions in the table. As United finished third to Sunderland’s fourth, they are seen as the home side.”3 -

Orient look like a bunch with a fantastic team ethic who work their guts off to over achieve.3 -
Yeah, I’m pretty sure it was a coin toss in ‘98. Not sure on what the actual rule is now, but league position would make the most sense.0

They took the lead, fell behind 2-1 and then equalised for 2-2.2 -
The final will be Kelman's 61st appearance of the season. Not too many players, let alone one on loan, get to play anything like that number. Should we make the final then Campbell, with 53, will have made the most for us.0

Wow. Least likely result of the season .0

Sky put up a graphic at the end of tonight’s game. Leyton O v Charlton/Wycombe
That’s why I asked the question. It looked like the winner of the first tie is the ‘home’ team.Sounds like colours are based on league position though.
Got to make the final of course.1 -
It’s written in the stars for Orient , I mean moody offside goal , rugby tackles unseen
fucking east end slaaaags
All down side playing them
Miracle now needed for us to go up
they’ll just show the last few mins against us and us all celebrating like mad at Brisbane Road to get them up for it .Convinced a play off final loss incoming1 -

They seem to have a lot of belief. Maybe more so than us.
Who knows if we even get there, if Wycombe rough us up again tomorrow.

Also, 1998 kit colours were decided by a coin toss, by 2019 it was based on who finished higher which I assume still applies today. Not sure if that also decides who gets to be the home team on the day with the home side of the stadium, home dressing room, home pub & bar venues etc hopefully should we make it that all comes as part of the wearing the home kit but got a feeling that may have been decided by a coin toss in 2019.1 -

Hard to picture a team with REG, Clare, Pratley and Jaiyesemi getting promoted to the championship

We won't get an easier chance of promotion than this, ever.
Another 46 games next season (potentially 49) or, beat two teams we have already beaten twice.
I don't particularly rate either team, and to a man, we are better. More confident about these play-offs than I was last time round.
Come on Charlton, let's get back up the leagues.15 -

Just watched the Orient highlights. Stockport should have had at least one penalty which was blatant. What with the offside in the first leg, Orient have definitely had the luck of the decisions. But then Stockport had plenty of good chances in both games and it shouldn't have got to penalties.1
