So how are your nerves?

  • Not so much now, was really dreading playing County at Wembley with all our connections to the town.
  • Was fine before watching the game tonight. I am bricking it now! Just such a weird mix of nerves and excitement!
  • I will be twitchy until the game kicks off.
  • They were OK until I watched that shoot out in the other leg.
    Now I’m panicking a bit.
  • Was feeling nervous yesterday but travelled down to SE London today and I’m feeling strangely calm. Whatever happens happens and I’m going to try to enjoy it as much as I can
  • I'm fine, really I'm fine.

  • Without this coming to bite me back on the backside, far more excited than nervous.

We are a better team than Wycombe and Leyton Orient. Our head to head proves it, and our league finish proves it.

As long as we play our game, we will be at Wembley, and we will put Orient away.

If we can't, we deserve to be in league 1, and may the best team on the day get promoted.

    I can't bloody wait.
  • Feel more relaxed now I know the outcome of the final , we will lose it , maximum amount of I’ll be right fucked off is a final defeat against Orient so that’s written in the stars .The good news is we’ll be top two next season
  • Feeling very relaxed partly due to being on holiday, luckily only in East Sussex near Battle.
The closer it gets to kick off the worse I will feel.
It’s when you’re expected to win you feel worse than when you’re the underdog.

This week has been awful after getting to bed at 4am on Monday morning….. tomorrow is going to be pure death with a 3am kick off

Ill try to get to sleep nice and early….. I failed on Sunday and I’m way more nervous today.
  • Not nervous at all. I have complete faith in NJ and the team getting the job done tonight.
  • I am definitely anxious.  So used to disappointment as a fan.  Can’t help but feel that way
  • I'm very nervous. My bowels are already reacting, just done my 5th shit of the day. Don't even want to think about tomorrow
  • Entirely detached - ensuring I feel nothing.

If we get through this the fear of success will fight it's way into my consciousness, but as it stands I am two people experiencing reality through the prism of pain, fear and grief in different measures.

Had a nervous little fart earlier, ended up shitting down my own arm.
Why is your anus on your shoulder?

  • Excited and trepidatious in equal measure.

Really high. I got laid off last week so my general anxiety had already spiked.
That's a bummer.  Hope you get sorted for a new job soon.

Nothing that sitting in the sun in fans bar from 4pm won't fix. Taken half a day at work today and booked tomorrow off too... think il need it.
  • Huge nerves about this one.

    Sorry about your news @SDAddick
  • Any nerves won't kick in till Wembley...then maybe🏆
  • Excited to have an important game to attend and support with adrenaline flowing.

My son was watching a video of a Pokemon game on YouTube yesterday morning. Now I’ve got the theme from the end of the game before the final battles in my head. Imagine this before the players come out the tunnel tonight, fits pretty well. https://youtu.be/fEu0_7q5mSc?si=rdV-rseuk6gP-kY6

Absolutely bricking it now as just received this email from the club:

As you’re sat in the Alan Curbishley Stand tomorrow, we need your help to create a moment to remember! Before kick-off, we’ll be unveiling a giant Charlton flag that will be passed through the stand (From Block A down towards the Family Stand tunnel and Block H) — and you’ll be at the heart of it!

What? I'm on the end seat, right at the front so I'm practically starting the whole thing off.

I didn't sign up for this, talk about pressure.

And I've had no manual handling training.
