All nice problems to have for NJ considering where we were at Christmas, everything now is a bonus whether we finish 4th or 5th, I personally don't care who we play and when, if we want to be considered as good enough to go up, we have to beat all comers anyway.3

He doesn't leave anything to chance. He's meticulous. I really like that about him. Take this video, for example. He's conning the Burton management by making it look like he's taking it easy by taking a few days off in Spain. If players don’t feature, and it isn’t because of injury, then I take it as a sign that Jones has got over the disappointment everybody feels after Wrexham and will be fully focussed on the play offs.2

Definitely give Gilbert a start. He looks the sort who needs a run and also a ‘nice pitches’ type of player, which we’ve now got with the sun out.2

what I meant was, If they could still have gone down and we field a weakened team against them, and they beat us and stay up, we could be up before the league. At least that used to be the case it may not be relevant anymore.southamptonaddick said:

And even if the EFL aren't taking action, there is an unwritten rule that teams try their hardest, especially if the result has an impact elsewhere.Hal1x said:

I think they was really sensible how they handled emotions, as you say probably to avoid a wrexham repeat.
It was hylton who went to the ref at h/t - smart asbwe don't want nathan getting a suspension.
And then at full time I 2as expecting nathan to have a go at the wrexham manager or ref, but he was really composed.2 -

Nice to hear him say that the club wont fall apart based off this one result tomorrow. I also like how he spoke about the squad when Tel mentioned Ramsay's blocks on Thursday, Jones was determined to remind him that its simply part of a collective effort, and we wouldn't be anywhere without the team as a whole.8

Whilst it will be disappointing to miss out, I now feel this club has a plan and contingencies in place to move on and up in all departments. For too long i have attempted to block off my football clubs decline, and not let it consume me. I just want to see us do things right, and where that takes us will be a great journey. Proud to be Charlton again at the moment and this fella is a good part of that transformation. I had my doubts and frustrations Nathan, but you have come through.

yes, just so pleased for him and us that its all coming together nicely - a win tomorrow will be the icing on the cake (viva las vegas !!) but as he says, even if we don't win tomorrow, we'll carry on moving in the right direction5

The same message is coming from various avenues in the club about the owners being good and that the right pillars are being put in place to move us forward. Of course I will be devastated if we lose tomorrow but I will for a change also believe we will be in a better place next season to go again. We will get our Charlton back4

At Stoke he had big earners that didn't buy into his philosophy. Similar situation at the Saints where he couldn't get the players to respect him and unfortunately Nathan did say outlandish comment which was used to bash him with.
Charlton was similar to Luton where he could galvanized a different group of players with a club that had known better days but had slipped down the divisions; Luton even further than CAFC 3rd tier.
Nathan is our crazy manic pitch preacher and even the Atheists and humanist's amongst the Cafc fan base will say Amen to that if we reach the promised land of the Championship after being in the wilderness for so long.1 -

He certainly had supportive owners at Stoke - one of the most supportive in English football I would suggest.Nathan just gets Charlton, and the players (and owners) get him.3 -
