So on balance then next season we are agreed automatic promotion to the PL is preferred to another day out at Wembley.😉🙂14

On a different angle how much do we make from this ?
Will CM indirectly be proved right on his financial projections?

To no surprise, that is disgraceful.
Useful reminder for self preparation though. Large breakfast and beers in a London pub a fair distance from the ground
Probably limit to just 1 or 2 pints when at wembley.
I'll only bring disposable cash via max spend.
Depends where you go. I know pubs in London where it's still typically £4.50 for a pint.
The only high £7-8 rate I've experienced in London is Gatwick/Heathrow3 -

Should you suffer from a medical condition which requires you to carry medication and/or equipment with you in the event of an emergency, such as a diabetic who many require to carry insulin and needles, we will of course allow these items into the stadium, however we require the following actions / documentation to support your entry to the venue.
- Contact your doctor or health care professional to ensure you are fit to attend the event at Wembley Stadium connected by EE. This is strongly advised, Wembley Stadium connected by EE cannot provide medical advice to guests prior to an event.
- Please ensure your doctor or health care professional provides you with written confirmation to confirm your medical condition and the medication and/or equipment you require to bring to the stadium for your welfare in the event of a medical emergency. Please ensure you bring this letter with you as our stewarding teams will require sight of this letter to allow you entry to the stadium.
That is not easy to do. My wife carries two Adrenaline auto injectors (just in case one doesn't work or is not enough) for severe allergic and anaphylactic shock episodes. First prescribed in 2001, after a near death experience, she has never had any documentation, just endless repeat prescriptions since. Getting paperwork and letters from a GP is like trawling through treacle and they charge anything from £15- £50 plus per document. Her condition is largely self managed, the only time a health professional, other than a GP would get involved is during a A&E resuscitation admission. There is no paperwork, or letters confirming her medical condition, the fact that she carries auto adrenaline injectors is the explanation itself.

Vote with your feet.
The end of the day what do the club /authorities care?
For all the moaning everyone will still go to the games.

Hi everyone, this is my first comment on here. Im a lifelong Charlton supporter born just 10 minutes walk from the Valley. (And 9 months after we won the FA Cup:-)) Now living in Norway, (Since 1984) and a Military Vet. (27 years) Lived in Eltham (Mottingham) for many years before joining the Army. Not far from Sparrowslane. Still working in the Adventure industry organising Battlefield tours to Norway. I have also organised tours to the Valley for Scandinavian Supporters in the past and was a member of Valley Gold for many years; even Voted for the Valley party as I was still a registered voter based in West Germany. I try to fly back to the UK every season from Norway to see at least 2/3 games; its very expensive! CAFC isnt just a football team, but an institution and an important part of our Culture. Although the ticket office has been incredibly helpfull in helping the ticket buying process, it has been impossible getting a ticket for this game tomorrow. I am currently visiting the UK (Bexhill) and would obviously and like to go. If anyone has a spare ticket, and is prepared to sell it, message me on here, I would be very grateful, for the opportunity. (Like 10000 others I would think:-) Anyway, whatever happens, COYR,30

You could add a tag to Matt Slater at The Athletic (@mjshrimper) who is a Southend fan and has followed our recent dark days. Or Henry Winter (@henrywinter)

This sort of thing does work, but it needs people to retweet. Doesn't take long.
By the looks of it Matt Slater is not liking some of the interaction with our supporters, no idea why he thinks the upper tier is closed for us2 -
Have followed this thread over last few days with growing pessimism, needed 3 tickets together but was too far back in the queue both times. Is there any chance of any tickets being released today or do I finally give up checking this site every 10 minutes and start planning a BBQ so all the family can come round and watch it on TV.0

I really hope that those genuine fans who haven't managed to get a ticket do so by some means today or tomorrow morning.7

Could you imagine if roles were reversed and some of our fans planned to buy on Friday only for the allocation to be reduced and they missed out.
It does not make sense, if sales are slowing then the sooner we get the allocation the less stressful for everyone, particularly as the guy who alluded to the admin required...
Madness. But then we are only football fans....
I have a purchase history from being a (lapsed) season ticket holder and was lucky enough to get a ticket when that window opened.
Some people I know with similar circumstances weren’t as lucky.
I just think being able to get 3 additional tickets for people without history is not fair when others with more Charlton connection miss out.
If I miss out today and more tickets dont become available I will be very frustrated and may change my view, but I also feel that fans with the huge loyalty point totals and fans with season tickets who go to every home game have earned the right to bring friends/family along for the big day out. I could potentially argue that it should be 2 tickets per fan ID / season ticket etc. (as this would have allowed me to get tickets by now!) but I can see the rationale to get the tickets sold as soon as possible, hopefully filling the stadium
Family stands should be for young kids too, not 15/16/17 year olds who are probably having a pint before the match 😆
If you were to do this you'd need to make it really clear and telegraph it 2 years in advance. So that people can set up accounts and build purchase history's for those people. There should also be a reminder with every purchase of multiple tickets to assign them to the right people or risk them not being able to attend big games.
I'm just not sure we are at the point of needing to restict sales like that (yet!).
If you don't allocate the tickets to someone how on earth are the club to know?
However, the first 18 plus aways this season probably didn't have that issue and nor last season, so if you go to most of the games and register the 10 points from home games and 5 points from away games that you are ENTITLED to, then you could comfortably have racked up 600 odd points and I think we only needed 150 to enter. (Plus of course all the cup games and there are usually at least 5 per season).
I was wrongly assuming that your son had missed out through not having enough points.
I didn't realise you are in the same boat as the majority and had bought for him so you can be together.
I hope you all have a great day.
NB I reckon the majority including me are missing points for similar & varied reasons.0 -

Red lion, (elephant & Castle) is one example.
Bit of a dumpsite area. Probably why it's not so bad price wise4 -

Why can’t the club now say ‘no more tickets’ ?
Seems silly to be not to be transparent on that.4 -

Less than 27 hours to kick off and nothing, well done the Wembley wankers
Even if they release whatever now it’s a bit late for fans etc who given the option earlier on with proper notification of the situation , taking all the stress out of it would have been nice .
