Eltham trains do run every 15 minutes but only directly to Victoria and Cannon Street. Can change at Lewisham then wait for Charing Cross train (which has busy potential) then tube to Baker Street for tubes to Wembley Park or onto Marylebone. Full circle, personally Eltham to Victoria, tube via Oxford Circus to Marylebone then 9 minute train from there to Wembley Stadium. Very easy from there.
But this is what I asked @Covered End about. It's not, apparently, every 15 minutes. It seems to be two in 7 minutes and then a gap of 23 minutes. I have the TFL app now, and can see it for myself , but it's no frigging way to run a railway. And the TFL app, bloody hell...if I ask for Eltham station to Marylebone at 08.55, it proposes a bus to NG and the Bakerloo, or a bus to Woolwich for the ELZ. No mention of taking the train.
It's going to be fun agreeing this with my brother. he has Strong Opinions on these things. Runs in the family I suppose🤣

Suggest best to familiarise with some back up routes for the day. That Elizabeth line is a major let down when it fails and you will be lucky to be a useful inter-change to change route. The mainlines to London Bridge/ Charing Cross aren't exactly reliable when they are needed either. So i recommend thinking about alternatives like the DLR, e.g. from Woolwich, and Greenwich should it be needed.

This thread is laughable. A London Club needing travel directions to Wembley, and we are meant to be the trainspotters!
We are a London club with probably the largest natural catchment area in the country stretching from the coast to the east and the coast to the south with limited competition, particularly to the population it covers. Some of us live in London, I suspect most don’t.
Woolwich and Elizabeth Line is the best and likely quickest option.
Jubilee Line trains from N Greenwich could be all packed as Orient will have just got on at Stratford.
Bugger, coming from Essex my plan was to get on the Jubilee at West Ham. Stupidly, I hadn't considered that that would put us in the middle of all the travelling O's fans. I guess it's still the best option though as whichever way we come we're going to have to cross their patch. Will just have to beat the crowds by going early. My plan for coming home is to have a very good reason to hang around Wembley longer than anyone supporting Orient .
I am coming from Essex too and will have to travel with O’s supporters ..

But it's interesting, I tried to see how AI deals with this and the answer is, not great. The Overground from Marylebone - which I too had never heard of - never got a mention. Is this the Chiltern Line service that was mentioned earlier ?

But appreciate you considering my "mobility problem". Thankfully its getting better by the day, almost OK but given the choice I'd certainly avoid more steps than I need to. How long has Wembley Stadium existed? I don't recall it in 2019

Eltham Addicks get the train to London Bridge and the Jubilee to Wembley (just under an hour total duration). What’s all this nonsense about driving to North Greenwich?
Doing the same journey myself, all the other alternatives (132 to North Greenwich etc.) just seem like a pain in the arse.
LB will be busier than 2019 as its a London Derby. I live in Eltham but am doing Woolwich to Liverpool St then Met line to Wembley Park, hopefully in just over 1 hour.🤔
Getting train from Chelmsford to Liverpool Street then met, nice and easy. Will be a lot of orient on there, but in 2019 the train from Essex was packed with Sunderland fans and that was more of a surprise. Should be a good atmosphere

Not outside they dont.
You don't have to go down the steps outside Wembley Park station. If you go out to the left onto the road you can go down any number of slopes.
