  • Sunderland losing, everything falling into place!
Let’s have them next year again!
  • Love the bucket hat - “you’ll grow into it”!!
  • We love Wembley, we’ve got this in the bag ok AFKA…🙏
  • In the services on the M40 on my way down and absolutely shitting myself it’s not helped by having the championship playoff on the radio the crowd sound immense
  • I’m a right negative ninny where Charlton are concerned and always fear the worst. We’ve been successful in 3 play off finals, all in a dramatic way, and law of averages say that has to change some time.

I’ve my suspicions of what players are going to melt and not deliver tomorrow, but I’ll keep that to myself.

But….trying to poke its head up out of my sea of negativity is the thought that Matty Godden has it in him to be a hero. If anyone can step up and be the man from our lot, I reckon it’s him.

Come on Charlton, One more time.
Brendan Rodgers envelopes are in play

So looking fwd to it and yet also so nervous. Why do I have such a bad feeling over this match. I think something will go wrong like a penalty and sending off or a quick two goal salvo from Kelman to crush our hopes and dreams. No matter what happens the club is in a far better place than 12 months ago. 1-0 Orient.
  • I’m sure this has already been covered but what are the play off finals starting 1 minute past the hour?

The EFL play-off finals will kick off a minute later than scheduled this weekend to promote the British Heart Foundation’s ‘Every Minute Matters’ campaign. The campaign - which began during last season’s play-offs - aims to encourage fans to learn CPR.

If we win, I really hope they play Addicks to Victory straight after the final whistle. Can you imagine how loud we’ll be singing along? I’m getting goosebumps just thinking about it!
Hopefully Thomas will be free to play the guitar solo on the pitch
  •  MY NERVOUSNESS IS  GETTING  WORSE  TOO MANY PUNDITS ( WHAT  QUALIFICATION   DO YOU NEED  TO BE  A PUNDIT  !)  ARE SAYING ORIENT. iM JUST THINKING ARENT WE ALL PUNDITS IF THE TRUTH IS KNOWN . WHAT I  DO KNOW IS  WIN OR LOSE  I WILL  CLAP AND CHEER THEM  ALL THE WAY OFF THE PITCH  THANKS  FORA  SEASON BEYOND OUR WILDEST  DREAKS
    UPTHE ADDICKS
  • The fact that Sunderland have won today is good for us as favourites because it makes us more fully aware that complacency will lose us this game. Jones will be telling them all not to be complacent when going into this game even though we are favourites. So yes, Sunderland winning May have done us a favour .
  • DREAMS  NOT DREAKS   SORRY !

  • Put them marginally collectively more dangerous going forward than us, put us quite a bit more stronger than them in defence and midfield about even. Will be tight but think the last 15-20 including stoppage time will see us boss them to secure the win.

Whole family taking our minds off it and trying to speed the clock with a Mission Impossible & LILO & Stitch double bill, a meal wedged in between.

I am remarkably calm as I was for Wycombe and trust one thing more than anything - Nathan, his coaching staff and this squad will do everything within their power to win this game. Our passions, our direction and togetherness are aligned as one!
Mission Impossible is an incredible adrenaline rush of a movie. That was not good preparation to maintain my calmness. 9/10 btw loved it.

Lilo & Stitch may put me to sleep so will return to zen soon.

Going to post something similar to this tomorrow (a guess who game on Charlton players) but I'm switching it up a bit.

If anyone wants to watch something Charlton related, I asked 11 different Charlton groups/individuals to help build an all-time Charlton fantasy XI, thoughts?

    https://youtu.be/6SB9ZG-RM9U?si=bmp5yXSVu1Iuz1bd
That bloke on Taylor is old enough to have seen Mendonca, Hunt, Bent, Di Canio.

Whatever you think of Parker, he’s number one in midfield. I can’t deal with the Song and Coquelin picks.

Probably could have done with asking some older fans too.
I see your point mate, but, this was 11 random groups, so I was always expecting random results.

I think the bloke who selected Taylor, may be a fairly new supporter as he said "my best experiences" not speaking on behalf of the club.

Coquelin and Song I got in suppose cause of what they did after their short loans at Charlton.

I'll ask some older folks next time, but there was a few there.

I've done my fantasy XI on a Charlton podcast before, based on a mix of what I've seen and heard, and here's what mine looked like:

    That team is horrible.

    Mark Fish instead of Rufus

    Kish instead of Kinsella

    Lookman instead  of Lee

    No Costa
    No Simonsen
    No Hales.

    I could go on.

Sir John Humphrey instead of Luke Young.
    Great player was Humphrey.

But he's the only Charlton player I've ever met that I didn't like.
    Tried to talk down to
me like he was a school teacher.
    Which is what he was.

    Thought he was a  prick
In fairness that's what he probably thought of me.
You're a very funny man Rambo.
A shame that you had that experience with him though, I met him once and he was great. But they do say 'never meet your heroes'.
Have a great day tomorrow mate.

Would be lovely if we good mute some posters on here. Playoff final tomorrow and still bloody moaning.
It’s the Charlton way unfortunately. We need everybody up for the Russell Slade derby.

Even the Matt Spring derby or the Steve Dixon derby or the Bradley Pritchard derby or... too many to mention.
