Management potential right there.  Keep it up and you'll go far!

Can’t help but think Godden will score, and looking fwd to seeing Berry back if he starts.

i think we will win with a clean sheet and we can say goodbye to this shit heap of a league

Can't see how any Charlton all time team wouldn't have Billy Bonds in it.

Of the last 15 playoff finals, the team with fans in the West Stand have won 11 with the East Stand winning 4.

Is that just by chance? Or is that cause the team who finishes higher in the league gets the west?

Cause if not, that's a bizarre stat.

Going to post something similar to this tomorrow (a guess who game on Charlton players) but I'm switching it up a bit.

If anyone wants to watch something Charlton related, I asked 11 different Charlton groups/individuals to help build an all-time Charlton fantasy XI, thoughts?

That bloke on Taylor is old enough to have seen Mendonca, Hunt, Bent, Di Canio.

Whatever you think of Parker, he’s number one in midfield. I can’t deal with the Song and Coquelin picks.

Probably could have done with asking some older fans too.
I see your point mate, but, this was 11 random groups, so I was always expecting random results.

I think the bloke who selected Taylor, may be a fairly new supporter as he said "my best experiences" not speaking on behalf of the club.

Coquelin and Song I got in suppose cause of what they did after their short loans at Charlton.

I'll ask some older folks next time, but there was a few there.

I've done my fantasy XI on a Charlton podcast before, based on a mix of what I've seen and heard, and here's what mine looked like:

    That team is horrible.

    Mark Fish instead of Rufus

    Kish instead of Kinsella

    Lookman instead  of Lee

    No Costa
    No Simonsen
    No Hales.

    I could go on.

Sir John Humphrey instead of Luke Young.

This year Sunderland, Charlton and Wimbledon have it. So it's not based on league finish.

Tough decision for me that one. Old enough to remember both, but I wonder if it’s stubborn nostalgia with Humphrey sometimes. Young played at the highest level for us. And England.

    Great player was Humphrey.

But he's the only Charlton player I've ever met that I didn't like.
    Tried to talk down to
me like he was a school teacher.
    Which is what he was.

    Thought he was a  prick
In fairness that's what he probably thought of me.

Talking to my mate before the game last Thursday, he said what do you reckon. I said I reckon 1-0 Charlton with a goal in the last 10 minutes .. true story.

I reckon it’s gonna be a great game on Sunday, it’s gonna be tight with a one goal in it. The key will be the midfield battle and I have every confidence in Cov, Doc and Gilbo. Strong trio that! Also think that with the slightly wider Wembley pitch, Small and Campbell will have a bit more room to get in behind them - cue Kenneth Williams GIF. Golden Godden with the winner 🤞

I had a lovely chat with him this season and he was a genuinely lovely fella asking what the kids were up to school wise and very engaging .
I asked how he ended up at Wolves coming from London ... spoke fot a good hour or so and I hate people and he was really nice , no airs and graces .

    Fair play.

I spoke to him in xbars when Roland and night mare were in charge.

I told him what I thought of the pair of them and he basically told me I was an idiot and didn't know what I was talking about.

I told him I  thought he was wrong and most fans agreed with me.

He then tried to talk down to me which pissed me off.

So I thought do I punch the prick

Do I argue with the prick

    Do I walk away.

I chose to walk away as it was in xbars in of loads of people.

But in my opinion he's an obnoxious prick.

Having watch the pre-match Wembley CharltonTV a little bit of info I have heard this week regarding the player pods in the dressing room.

Each player gets a pod (squad, so likely more than the 18) which has a decal on with their name / pic.
    - Berry has a pod
    - Mwamaba has a pod
    (All others as expected)

means at least Berry will be in the dressing room  and Mwamba with the rest of the squad for experience.

Would assume they have. Gillesphey said they were visiting and there’s a game on tomorrow. Unless they’re going in early tomorrow morning

A few years back my brother and I hopped on a near  empty tube train and were talking about Charlton, a guy opposite glanced across a couple of times and he looked quite familiar. It was the one and only John Humphrey, he said ' I heard you were talking about Charlton' and we ended up having a great conversation with him about Charlton. He was a lovely down to earth fella and I was sorry when we reached our destination.
  • For anyone having to watch on sky I think it’s going to be insufferable the favouritism they give Orient. They love an underdog story and listening to NTT20 Curtis Nelson who will be commenting is a Orient fan

Another failure by the comms team to create a connection with the fans and build excitement for the day by filming the team at Wembley.

I saw John Humphrey at a grocery store in charlton a few years back. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything.
He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?”
I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in his hands without paying.
The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.
When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infeterence” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.

Orient have been doing a lot of social media stuff, we’ve done very little. I don’t mind that at all, no distractions for the players so they are fully focused. We don’t need socials to sell tickets or get excited
