Carole Kaye was 90 a couple of days ago. Carole who? You might ask. You might not have heard of her but you will have heard her bass guitar as she was one of the most prolific session musicians, apparently having played on over 10,000 tracks, including many absolute classics. Google her for more info.
Herb Alpert is 90 today. Remember his music well, he always seemed to be guest star on shows in the seventies with the Tijuana Brass. Just given myself a Spanish Flea earworm typing this!
Keith Burkinshaw, the Spurs manager responsible for the signing of Ardiles and Villa and who was in charge when they won the UEFA Cup, was 90 yesterday.
