That’s interesting Algarve. Some years ago we went to an Elvis tribute show, the interesting point being he was backed by the original Jordanaires, so we may well have seen Ray. RIP
My overwhelming feeling watching the show was that there will only ever be one Elvis.

Had the pleasure of meeting him at Blackburn recently and briefly talking to him about the disastrous 1958 result (for us that is), at The Valley. We only needed to draw and they had to win to get promoted! We tragically only drew, with the shattering result that we spent many many years firmly planted in the then second division going nowhere, under the totally uninspiring and unambitious stewardship of Michael Glikstein.☹️ The crowd was around 54,000 if I remember rightly…..I was 10 years old and I and many others left the stadium in tears of frustration. To make things worse, my all time favourite Addick, Stuart Leary, missed a quite simple equaliser opportunity in the dying moments, which would have seen us return to Division 1 at the first time of asking. 😢
