  • Have a look at Jarod Bowen’s goal for West Ham yesterday. Quality.
  • 8 March - Mo Salah scores twice against Southampton to move to 27 goals and 17 assists. Just three goal involvements short of the Premier League record of 47, held jointly by Alan Shearer and Andrew Cole.

2 and a half months later - Salah has 28 goals and 18 assists. Still one off the record.
  • I said Man utd would regret Selling Mctominay.
Scott has had a brilliant season and scored again tonight as Napoli win the Serie A Scudetto just ahead of Inter.
Mctominay has been MOM in 5 of the last six matches for Napoli and the city has gone crazy after the 2-0 Win against Cagliari with the 2nd goal from Lukaka.
    Good goal too

  • And he’s the MVP (player of the season) I believe. He was never properly given a chance in the right position at Man U

Them playing him and Fred in a the two defensive midfield spots was so daft when neither were a defensive midfielder.

Not the stupidest thing Manchester United managers have done in the last 12 years, but still.

Shows how rotten that club is though that as soon as McTominay and Antony play elsewhere they look really good.
  • The three promoted sides from last season have all been relegated - Leicester (25), Ipswich (22) and Southampton (12) for a combined total of 59 points. What makes that tally look even worse is deducting the 16 points gained by those three clubs when playing each other - meaning that they picked up a total of 43 points from their other 108 games.

In 1996/97 Sunderland (40), Middlesbrough (39) and Nottingham Forest (34) were relegated with a combined total of 113 points i.e. 54 points more than this year's three sides to go down. Spurs, with 38 points this season, can consider themselves somewhat fortunate that teams nowadays find it so hard to bridge that gap between the Championship and the Premier League. They might have been in the Championship and playing in the Champions League next season!
  • So called 'Champions League' football to follow for a club who didn't reach 40 points. Ridiculous
  • Scary what’s happened in Liverpool

Hope those injured aren't injured seriously, looked awful.
  • Over a million people in attendance. I was due to go to St Helens for some dog training and was so surprised it suggested to go through Liverpool. Why wasn’t more roads blocked off

Jesus just seen the footage of someone recording from a nearby window - How did the car get in there, seeing it was supposed to be cordoned off to traffic?

Looking at the footage the driver is probably lucky that the police were on scene so quickly, else I think the crowd would have taken matters into their own hands!!

Bonkers, google apps said I could drive from Chester and through Liverpool. I thought it was a lie, so we drove a different way.

I agree.  But just to point out, we finished 5th last year and didnt get CL football, whilst 5th got it this season.
  • Chelsea have agreed a 30m deal for Liam Delap.

It means that 3 of Man City's best players (Palmer, Lavia, Delap) from their academy side that won the league 5 years ago will all now be at Chelsea.
  • Delap is our long term replacement for Harry Kane in the England team IMO. Having him playing champs league football will only be a good thing for our national team

25/26 would need to be a real breakthrough season at we assume Chelsea, unless anyone gazumps them for Liam Delap, who has the potential but unknown if he has Harry's all round talents including passing range as well as goals which took Orient and Millwall loans to assist Kane's progress.

12 goals in 37 matches for relegated Ipswich isn't too shabby and Chelsea does seem the home for the best youngsters from Man City.

  • It looks like Kelleher is going to Brentford to take over from Flekken, who's off to Bayer Leverkusen. Kelleher definitely needs a club where he's the number one keeper, a successful season at Brentford and he may well end up at a bigger club.

Can't work out how Leverkusen have managed to sign Flekken for only €10 million. He still had 2 years left on his contract.

At that price i'm surprised someone like United weren't interested, then they could ship out Onana.

Yay, another 10 year contract and the selling of the Chelsea non-binary team to themselves for a record amount to nullify PSR.

What must it feel like to have a Chairman and owners which genuinely care about the footballing side of the club???

I'm surprised Spurs wasn't in for him.  For what I've seen of him, he's head and shoulders better than Vicario.

They're waiting for AMB to become available

Odd one for Brentford, they are normally good at making profits on players, but may actually lose money on Flekken, as supposedly cost them £11m to sign.
  • Mbeumo appears to have chosen Man U over reported interest from Arsenal, Newcastle and Spurs.

Quite surprised by that to be honest, but just shows United still have the pull despite how bad they've been.

Apparently he was a Man U fan as a kid, those things can make a big difference

  • Would be really surprised if he doesn't flop at Man U
