Interesting to see a couple of home games on Wednesdays, as opposed to our traditional Tuesday nights. Presumably at the behest of Sky to have a numerous games on every day of the week ?
Yeah that’s been going on for a while now - Sky split the Championship midweek fixtures into six on Tuesday, six on Wednesday.
Has anyone found a reputable site offering downloads of CAFC fixtures for digital calendars? The EFL one that I downloaded included every match day fixture for all Championship teams 🤦🏼♂️ so I've unsubscribed.
Jones is gonna be well up for these Millwall games. Would be nice to see a Charlton side not bottle it at The Den.
Tbh, we didn't bottle it in 2019. Naby forgot to jump. I've never forgiven him.
I’m not sure what was worse, that or being ‘locked in’ at the Den, for 60 minutes after the match, people started climbing the gates, it was like an episode of Hunger games, vowed to my sons to never go back.

Ahhh.....I remember it well. Talking to the coppers by the exit gates & asking why (in the pissing rain) we werent allowed to go home like any other rightful citizen. Must see if they do the same outside a showing of Wicked in the West End....
"Now Madam, where are you off to ? Deepest Kent you say ? Sorry, I cant let you leave to catch your last train home". " But you sir, you can toddle off to Hampstead on the never ceasing underground"
And to add to the sorrow of seeing Naby being outjumped at the far post on 95 mins to give them the winner, and waiting in the rain for God knows how long......I came down with a cold days later followed by a cough which led to 2 doses of antibiotics. Although this was 3 months before Covid was announced I am certain someone had come back from Wuhan that day & had stood/sat next to me at the match 😡.

Needless to say, I’ve had a change of heart, we need the points if we’re going to stay up, and Millwall away is a call to arms, when will I learn!
Strange that all our midweek games are the same teams home and away.
If the EFL can fix the algorithm to do that, they should look at adjusting it to look at distances travelled too. I can’t see why, as much as possible, they can’t try and keep these midweek games more local (say up to 100 miles).

Someone else said they do games that they expect a low away following anyway, feels like that just feeds itself though

Well, exactly. They make it a self-fulfilling prophecy when they make it so difficult to travel by public transport. Even Ipswich is a push, especially if they have an 8pm kick off to get back into and then out of London for us.
Ipswich, Derby, West Brom all nice easy Saturday trips and would take good numbers. Even Boro is a pretty easy run for a Sat 3pm game.
I’m sure they’d see numbers boosted across the board if they tried to actually help fans.
Edit: yes, I know that last sentence is a bit of a fantasy and will never happen! 😏

That said, I don’t recall downloading it last season.
Just tried it, but the 25/26 isn’t updated yet. I’m sure it will appear in the near future.
