He won't go to there as a manager. Just listened to A Stubbs (talk to D Bent on Talksport). If he is serious about coaching then he'll be a coach there (or on the backroom staff as a AM).killerandflash said:Vacancy at Everton now for his managerial genius0 -

After beating Liverpool, Wayne Rooneyless Plymouth are now beating Millwall 4-1. I assumed they were dead and buried, now they have a genuine chance of survival.0

Luton are bottom, what on earth has gone wrong there, they looked decent in the PL despite not having the budget to match3

Bloomfield and Selles both jumped ship to Championship clubs. Both are now bottom 3...BigRedEvil said:Luton are bottom, what on earth has gone wrong there, they looked decent in the PL despite not having the budget to match0 -

That’s an interesting spin! Both were not exactly pushing for promotion when the managers ‘jumped ship’, I don’t think either manager can be blamed for their league positionskillerandflash said:

I wasn't blaming them, but pointing out that both of them "jumping up to the Championship" could end up a very short term move.Todds_right_hook said:

Understandable for Selles, as Reading have massive problems, but Bloomfield could find himself back down in L1 next season, while the Wycombe team he left take Luton's place in the Championship.1 -
Rooney picks up Middle East role
"Rooney has recently begun a coaching job in the Middle East, completing a short residency at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel in Dubai, United Arab Emirates in which he will provide coaching to youngsters at the hotel for a premium price.A statement from the hotel's website reads: "While the children learn from one of football’s most celebrated players, parents can relax by the private beach, indulge in fine dining, or explore the many family-focused activities the resort has to offer."

So parents can explore family focussed activities without their families.5

Great player....but a gig on Match of the Day?
Doing what?0 -
He'll be a pundit as he has been previously. He's actually pretty good as a pundit, better than a manager for sure (not hard etc.)2

He’ll get them relegated to BBC2JustFloydRoad said:32 -

His role yet to be announced…???0

I don’t care what his role is it shouldn’t be in media full stopEugenesAxe said:His role yet to be announced…???0 -
Shearer is a good pundit and didn't bother managing again after relegating Newcastle.
Shrek does have a broad amount of experience to be fair. He almost ticks every box for a MOTD pundit role.
He's evidently not a good manager but he does know a lot about football and his opinion is very valid.
His scouse accent is less harmful to the ears in comparison to carraghers.0 -
I fast forward all the so-called "analysis" anyway, but will go extra fast when Wayne comes on; he has to be one of the worst pundits on TV; only seems to come up with the most obvious comments that you or I could have come up with.1
