Welcome, Alice.
All wary of rugger types in football but maybe that was the best work she could get until a job in a proper sport turned up
- Proven track record in sports partnerships, including working for some of the biggest names in world sport - England rugby, Arsenal
- Global and cross-cultural experience in English-speaking markets, from which Charlton will be aiming to bring in sponsorship, commercial deals, players and fans - England, United States, Australia
- Leadership in commercial delivery - headed up a team of ten at Arsenal
- Versatility in sport and partner services – having cut her teeth in versatile roles, ranging from team service coordination to partnership activation
What's not to like?Plus, of course, she has a name that's a headline-writer's dream.
anything else? I personally think the fan zone has been a great addition, so anything to improve that would be great.
She also looks like a really decent hire for a football club of our size, and the ongoing commitment to this off the field is very good to see. I have worked on Premier League commercial director roles before and while she might be a tiny bit light for some of those, it's a really good sign that off the field we're taking such a professional approach to how we can build out our staff too.
I thought we used to do it a few seasons ago anyway didn't we?
Was at Edgbaston last week and it just works. Same as Ally pally.Hardly any queues.
I think the problem we may have is serving food alongside beer. The two should be separated imo
"What's that?"
"Well, you know when you queue up for a pint at half time and it takes ages to get served..?..."
They do it at my local NHL arena and it works well. They have separate concession counters for craft beers that you can choose to queue up at if you want a better brew.
