  • Another part of the jig saw.  Good to see.

  • Tough job in the championship!! I normally book hospitality packages for my trips to the valley but all the 12.30 ko times makes that not very appealing
  • Decent CV and yet another back of house appointment that looks to be very good.
  • Hopefully it's more Alice in Wonderland than Alice In Chains during her time here

    Barry Higson’s replacement
    • Proven track record in sports partnerships, including working for some of the biggest names in world sport - England rugby, Arsenal
    • Global and cross-cultural experience in English-speaking markets, from which Charlton will be aiming to bring in sponsorship, commercial deals, players and fans - England, United States, Australia
    • Leadership in commercial delivery - headed up a team of ten at Arsenal
    • Versatility in sport and partner services – having cut her teeth in versatile roles, ranging from team service coordination to partnership activation
    What's not to like?

Plus, of course, she has a name that's a headline-writer's dream.

What a fabulous name, like a character from a Jane Austen novel.
    Welcome, Alice.
I was thinking a Carry On movie.  Probably Carry on Girls.
  • What changes do we want to see?

Seen a few people mention the slow speed at bars before games and at HT, which I agree with. Not sure whether it would fit within AL’s remit, but it baffles me why they don’t pre-pour a load of beers just before half time. Get the first 30 pints served immediately and that changes everything.

anything else? I personally think the fan zone has been a great addition, so anything to improve that would be great.
  • with a name like that its a yes from me

Hopefully she’ll avoid going to the Cheltenham Festival!
  • There is something to he said for pre poured beers.
I thought we used to do it a few seasons ago anyway didn't we?

Was at Edgbaston last week and it just works. Same as Ally pally.Hardly any queues.
I think the problem we may have is serving food alongside beer. The two should be separated imo

Just replace draught beers with bottled beers.

The police and licensing authority would have a fit.

I mentioned pre-pouring to the woman on the Fuller’s black cab stand and she said customers don’t like it, which is strange because that’s quite common for stout.

Man Utd and Peterborough do this, so no idea why we would have an issue

And train the bar staff that serve them
  • From what I have been hearing, this appointment was much needed, we may be in the Championship but the corporate side of the club is definitely not fit for the Championship.
  • She’s got all the letters of Charlton in her name except the last one, so sounds good to me.

I get it maybe for a hand pumped pint of good quality real ale, but for a pint of mass produced lager out of a gas tap, who rally cares? No way most people would be able to tell any difference in a blind taste test.

They do it at my local NHL arena and it works well. They have separate concession counters for craft beers that you can choose to queue up at if you want a better brew.

Good idea. And if they fail to sell as many as 30, the remainder would be ready for the next home match two weeks later. Mind you, I am not a beer drinker ...
