Slightly off topic but I see playing for England U19s, in their Test at Beckenham against India, are Michael Vaughan's son (Archie), Freddie Flintoff's son (Rocky), Joe Denly's nephew (Jaydn) and James Rew's brother (Thomas). Perhaps the most surprising sporting connection in the team is the grandson of Jimmy White, Ralphie Albert. A left arm spinner, he took 3-93 in India's first innings and scored 50 in England's first. Just hope that the other lads know of his pedigree because I could see him hustling them for a few bob at the snooker table if they don't.

    So a nepo baby XI?
  • It was one of those games were picking a MOTM was really difficult, as conditions changed so drastically as the game went on.

I can't think of anyone who obviously deserved it.
  • If India had won the game, Jadeja would have been MOTM. They didn't. You have to look first of the contributions of those within the winning team.

Crawley. Not for his batting (obviously) but for his antics at the end of day 3. Got them rattled & they lost it from there.
  • Confirmed Bashir is out of the rest of the series , Jacob Bethell time or a proper spinner?

  •  Bethel has TWELVE first class wickets at 70. He's miles off being the main Test match spinner.

If they don't swallow their pride and pick Dawson,  surely it has to be Leach?
  • Do India pick Bumrah (P2 L2) in the fourth test?

Yes, defo need a proper spinner. Bed them in before the Ashes. I like the look of Dawson from the little I've seen of him. And Leach had had his day sadly.

Yeah I would naturally go Dawson but trying to guess Rob Key's brain is hard. Leach would be the natural move if they're fine with the lack of batting.
  • Stephan Shemilt was saying on TMS at lunch that Leach will get the call partly because he’s still centrally contracted.
  • Favourite, I hate the American spelling.
  • I don’t disagree!

  • Australia have just bowled West Indies out for 27
  • Boland's just taken a hat trick for the Aussies and won't get to keep the match ball. Because Starc had already broken the record for fewest deliveries to take 5 wickets. WI avoided setting the lowest ever team total in tests by 1 run.

That was not a fun game to follow, on any basis.
  • 2nd lowest test total ever

    14.3 overs

And the 22 that won it!

Wow! Its so bad, the WI batters between them scored 1 less than Crawley as there were 6 extras

Didn't realise this was on TNT. Now recording the highlights over the past 3 days.
  • Konstas managed to drop two toughish catches off Starc and misfielded when the score was on 26 to get Windies off equalling the lowest ever Test score .
  • It was Crawley"s 22 that won it.
