Listened on radio 5, sounded like DDD was winning... Clearly wasn't
    He didn't win a round
He may have shared/shaded one round but that was all.
Watched it back this morning, even in that round usyk was landing the far cleaner punches.

They won't make it, as it's not a money fight, but I'd love to see Usyk Kabayal. Stylistically would be a great fight, usyk doesn't like it to the body, and he bangs.

Dubois got it all wrong last night, tried to blast him out of there and doesn't have the boxing ability to do that. Del boy showed the blue print of what you need to do with usyk... throw your weight around and turn it into a brawl. If you let him box, there isn't a person in the world who beats him
I expected Fury to use his height/weight advantage but he never really did. If you try to box Usyk, you lose. Fury and Joshua both showed Usyk too much respect and looked more worried about getting hit than risk taking one or two to land one.
  • There isn't anyone on the planet at his level at the moment. Maybe a couple will come through in the next few years, but why should he stick around and wait for them.  Nobody wants to see a third Fury fight, Parker would test him for a few rounds until Usyk works him out.
Call it a day and go and enjoy the next chapter in your life Oleksandr, there is nothing left to prove.
  • Not a single fight out there for him.
    Completed it mate.

Time to hang up those gloves safe in the knowledge you were the best on the planet for a considerable amount of time.
  • Usyk has nothing to prove but he does see himself passionately as fighting for Ukraine too. He had war veterans at last night's fight and we wants a fight in his home country, whether that is feasible is debatable, but would he see his retirement as something detrimentally symbolic? I suspect that, as the warrior flag bearer, he might not want to hang his gloves up quite yet.
  • Just on another level. No one beats him. He is a genius and will go down as an all time great.

I would like to see him retire. He has nothing else to prove. Retire, the belts get scattered and we get a load of British heavyweights fighting each other for them belts.

This is true but if he can make more money from a rumoured fight v Parker that he should win easily then why not carry on? I can see him having a couple more fights.
  • I think Usyk enjoys boxing. He could have retired ages ago and it's not like he gets roughed up every fight

I like Joe Parker a lot, but he is tailor made for Usyk in terms of his lack of head movement, and fighting in straight lines, making him an easy target for the quicker man. Tricky situation for Usyk really, as there is nobody near his level that can test him, but he seems to be at the top of his game so why retire?
  • A lot of stories going around about Dubois and his pre-fight preparations, apparently his Dad arranged a party/gathering at his house on the AFTERNOON of the fight, which then caused Dubois to arrive late to Wembley.

Saw them talking about it on talksport, apparently they all went to Wembley with him (without tickets) and his dad said he’d refuse to fight if they weren’t let in

it seems DD didn’t even know half of them!

It's incredible really. Apparently the reason he was late arriving was because his Dad requested extra people carriers to bring the full entourage to Wembley. But they couldn't get enough at short notice. The logical thing to do here was surely to send Dubois ahead in one of them, but no, he decided to drive Dubois himself!!

This then caused an issue as only vehicles that had been accredited were allowed entry into the stadium and his car could only get as far as the car park! So Dubois and his dad had to then walk to the stadium entrance from the car park. He arrived into the stadium less than 90 minutes before the ring walk.

Was listening to Dominic Ingle earlier, who was saying that 9/10 times he won't work with a fighter, whom has a parent involved as it causes too many issues, and it ends up as a power struggle with the fighter left in the middle.
  • Anyone who took the proce of Dubois to win via TKO or KO must be well happy with that information

So must the promoters. Fucking idiot
  • Refused to fight unless they found tickets for his crew too, as they couldn't get in. All very bizarre behaviour.
  • I'm sure Dubois would've been delighted to hear the fight was off and he'd lost out on his £50m pay day because a few of his Dad's mates weren't allowed in.
  • Not sure if that’s the usual preparation Dubois has, but smacks of believing their own hype from the first match and underestimating Uysk.
  • Dubois has never struck me as intelligent however dicking around like that is beyond stupid. It must be maddening for anyone who has invested time into preparing him.
