    I think it is safe to say that at least half of the games will be a minimum of £30 for away supporters.

    You're not wrong. Ipswich are the most expensive i've seen so far.

    For their first home game of the season they are charging Southampton £43 in the upper tier and £38 in the lower. Insane prices.

    I remember paying 28£ for a shite seat against a pre-Abramovich Chelsea a quarter of a century ago. (And I was a kid; there was no u16 discount).

    I also remember paying £20 for a ticket at Crawley a few months ago.

    £30/£33 for an away ticket for these sort of games and venues seems good value in that context.

    If Crawley are able to get away with charging £20 to stand on a 5 foot bit of concrete watching the ugliest professional football conceivable without even a bar on offer, then Bristol or QPR away for £30 in one of the highest quality football leagues in world football is not a rip off. If anything it’s good value! 

    Everything costs an effing fortune now. It’s the situation we live in sadly. A pint regularly costs £7.50/8. Not one to defend football club owners but the entire economy isn’t their responsibility and at this level they’re losing hundreds of grand a week so whilst I wish they were able to serve their communities more philanthropically, they don’t owe us cheap tickets. I’m glad Charlton Athletic are still afloat, let alone in the championship with £10m of new players.

    A piss take to consider ANY seats in that end stand as "Gold" seats. I've no idea how they can class some tickets as gold, and some silver in the same stand. That would be like having 2 different prices in the Jimmy Seed

    I agree with this. prem clubs can afford this, championship clubs can’t.

    Gold are the central blocks of the upper tier, silver are the blocks at either end plus the whole lower tier.

    Yeh. That’s too much. Equally; I’d still much rather pay £39 to watch QPR Charlton than £20 to watch Crawley Charlton. Demand will emphatically reinforce that the majority agree. 

    The world economy is fucked, the football economy is fucked. I’m not promoting higher ticket prices - but I’m just saying that in the world we live in, it’s a lot of money for 90 minutes football but despite that, 30 odd quid for a ticket just isn’t a rip off.

    Are we allowed to reciprocate pricing or is their a limit linked to home fan prices?

    The reality is you can run it for half that and if the club overcharges to that extent someone probably will in the end. 

    Watford charged £20 to Bristol City in April and are charging £12 to The Valley.

    I think you have to charge the away fans the same price you are charging home fans in the equivalent stand. So our away prices are the same as Coverend end lower
