As a general thing, there’s a lot more stuff this season that seems buyable / wearable stuff, which has got to be a good thing.

I don’t like the training top with the orange bit on the shoulder, looks a bit to  1980’s and northern for my liking.

Reminds me of when you go on an away days, go through a run down town centre, and can’t wait to get out.

I feel like that in most of South London.

The range does look much improved. Very tempted by the black hoodie. I'm down for the Watford game so might well try a few sizes and grab one from the shop.
  • Bought an Hawaiian shirt, XL, based on the Club shop (waist) sizing guide, it's tiny, even if I lose some of my belly fat it will never fit across my back and shoulders. I'll probably have to frame it and hang it on the wall.

    as Homer Simpson says

  • Where's best to park if heading down the shop on a weekday?
I used to drive up close and park in Floyd rd but am I likely to get a ticket these days!

You can park outside the shop for up to 2 hours I believe without paying. I normally park there and have never got a ticket

The range has improved but the CHARLTON FC t/shirt really grates.
Not even room to paint an "A" in the middle?

Maybe you could scrub off some of the other letters so it just says "CAFC"?

See its now sold out in medium, but I got one of these I'm gonna be returning unless anyone on here wants to buy it? Haven't worn it, tags all in etc, it's just too small/tight fit so I needed the Large.

Will be at the game tomo so ideally would be looking to exchange there with any willing buyers else will just refund at the shop.

Mummy’s Little Soldier not so Little then ? 😉😆

Seems a recurring theme on here that sizes are on the smaller side.

Suspect the shop would be busy Saturday to negotiate a return.
  • Got the Quaser away kit reprint delivered in an XXL and I can't even get my arms into it  :D Thought I was playing it safe with an XXL considering I easily fit into the XL of our Le Coq Sportif kits.
  • All that muscle growth...

I'm happy to admit since I've stumbled into my 30s that the food and drink sits a bit worse than before but honestly, I would never really consider myself a large in clothing lol. These shirts do seem pretty tight fitting and size up definitely needed

Yep, 100% some shirts are one size up, others seem as much as two if you prefer a looser fit. I think the club shop should have a new sign above the door - ‘Looking to put a pin in your self-confidence…? Look no further, clothing for sale, please step inside’

    😂
  • That 91-92 shirt fits so badly, XL came out like a M, XXL like a L. Had to settle on a XXXL just to get some semblance of loose. Just seems out of kilter with how kits are normally sized (retro or not). Red Robins Retro are made roughly true to size for example.

It does look a beaut though!

Yeah I thought it would be tent like as they were back then!
  • Thought I’d pop into the Bluewater shop earlier passing on en-route to France. Closed. Through the window though, thought all the kits look a bit cheap and nasty, especially the home one. Away looked the best of the lot.

  • I fancied one of the 91/92 shirts, but nothing between M and 2XL.

    Plenty of 2XL shirts available.
  • I just wish the shop would stock some simple red and white polo shirts with a club badge on.

It's not asking much, is it?

Joma and Le Coq Sportif were good for these tops.  They aged very well also.
  • We went past the club shop at 15:50 and it was closed. That is bad 1hr20 after an early kickoff + first game of the season. They were turning people away, including some who'd had a couple of looseners in the fans' bar.

I've got 2 super Nike ones.

Unfortunately (or should I say fortunately) the years have been good to me and they are now a "bit" tight around the middle!
  • Loads of the new shirts being worn, so merchandising must be doing business.
