Going to be very hard to drop him for Knibbs if he continues at this level, was excellent today.3

Really liked him!Bit of class, lots of hard work and chasing and the odd spark - he looks like bags of potential. Him and Rapter work well together and bounce off each others styles
He and Coventry have to be starters at the moment, leaving Doc to ‘earn’ his place0 -
Real competition for places in there. Carey played like someone determined to take his chance, but then Knibbs came on and grabbed the winner. Jones will have a decision to make there, unless he feels one of them can play defensively minded enough to take Doc’s position. And that’s without us having seen JRC yet.2

The new player I wanted to see the most
Had a really good feeling about him when we managed to get him and I was impressed.
Works his nuts off.
I think Carey Campbell Apter Knibbs will be the envy of a lot of clubs when it clicks

Looked like he has a touch of class about him. Loved Knibbs’ energy and obviously the goal but all our best play came through Carey in the first half. Hopefully we can find a way to play the both of them.0

I think in the tougher games we might go for Knibbs and Carey behind 1 striker. Can see why Jones signed both of them because they are both very hard working without the ball and also have quality on it5

Looks like the embodiment of ‘Jones’ type player.

Was the signing i was least excited about, and the signing i was most impressed with yesterday... thought he was faultless1
-
Super impressed with him yesterday. Great running with the ball, gets stuck in, and showed lots of quality such as when he took out down on the run seamlessly before his run and shot in the box. Really good debut0
-
Looks like a great example of signing a player who you think fits your system and style of play regardless of pedigree. No big fee, no massive fuss bur he looks like a classic NJ player. There’s a real touch of the Luke Berry’s to how he plays1
-
Encouraging debut. Our best midfielder yesterday but Docherty and Coventry both looked very rusty.3
-
Showed a great bit of strength when the defender bounced back off him when bearing down on goal in their box. Looked useful.0

Did remind me a bit of Nicky Bailey, in his style of play, hope his penalties are better!0

Thought he was brilliant yesterday and was honestly surprised just how good he was. Him and Apter really linked up well. It's funny was only saying to my old man the other day that i felt a bit sorry for Sonny. The first signing through the door. But most people were thinking knibbs was his replacement before he'd made his debut! Im sure both will see plenty of game time and Nathan will probably switch them between roles. That was a cracking debut COYA3

But I think it helped he was first through the door and with the team for pre season from the start which I think helped his case to start the game yesterday but as others have said he was very impressive in his own right and probably the sort of performance we'd all like to see from Knibbs when he's ready to start games so it makes it very hard to drop Carey if he keeps performing like that. I was a bit doubtful to how impactful he'd be but certainly surprised me in a good way.
Feels like we've now finally moved on from the likes of Fraser, Morgan etc to have Carey, Knibbs and even Berry to all be options in that part of the team.2 - Sponsored links:

Edit. Re-reading this you already knew that and im just repeating what said. Ignore and move on. Or give me a sympathy lol0 -

Accurate passes in final third 9/12 (75%)
Accurate long passes 2/2 (100%)
Ground duels won 5/7 (71%)5 -

Add to that his power, skill, and excellent rapport he has with the raptor, and you're on to a winner.1 -
Must admit I wasn't very excited about this signing. For some reason thought he'd be a bit 'meh' and on the fringes but he's very much part of it. Nice to not have to rush Knibbs.3

Was quite excited when we got him but can't say I'm overly impressed so far. Runs around a lot but makes some shocking decisions on the ball.
Needs to really up his game if this attacking line is going to fire.1 -
