Seems as if they also have somewhat ridiculous loyalty points issues when buying tickets.
Wonder if StuWall will get a ticket ?
Funny you should mention him, because I went online earlier to claim my season ticket seat and I can't because it's already been sold. Outrageous.
I don’t know what’s funnier, that actual thread or the fact that you all thought he was being genuine 😉
You might've been able to swing that one between you all, to save your collective embarrassment, if the great man hadn't reappeared on the thread - repeatedly - apologising for what a total Burk he's been!
  • Sorted. One for me and for my brother. But a lot of that chunk of the East Stand, block G near where Airman &Co sit, was already sold out.

Just wondering, if this sells out, will it be the first time for this fixture? I certainly can't remember a match where it did. I can remember the first one I went to as a kid, was 29,000, and there was a gasp when the announcer gave the figure at the end of the game. But that was the old Valley, could have easily handled twice that number

In my lifetime it has never sold out at home mate. Think my first Millwall game at home was the 4-4
That’s because your grounds too big for you 😉
Because it’s not our cup final.

But, outside of the premier league, you don’t sell out for any game, bar the odd play off semi final. Even London derbies. As I say, your grounds too big for you. 😁

See Millwall have sold out their allocation, see on the socials that they are now going to try and get tickets in one of our home ends, that should be fun 😉
    cup final @MillwallFanB)

    😆

we always sell out London derbies, always have. Even when we was struggling in the 3rd tier and getting home crowds of 7 and 8000 we would always sell out at places like Fulham and Brentford with ease.

Obviously there’s a lot more to this one as it’s as local as it can get. And Everyone does seem really up for it this timé. Tickets went really quickly.  Probably because we haven’t played for a few years now and there’s a real feel good factor at the club anyway. Norwich sold out last week and lots of people who wanted to go couldn’t.

Be interesting to see how quickly your tickets go for the game at our place in January. If you’re riding high and doing well I reckon they’ll go just as quick.

I know all this talk of cup finals etc is just a wind up and an attempt to get a bite but the truth is these games SHOULD sell out quickly. As I’ve said on here before, if you can’t get excited about a game v your local rivals then you might as well jack it in.

It's always the same at The Valley, we have loads of empty seats.

We're discouraged by the possible trouble at the game.  I can only put it down to that.

Oh also, being kept in for an hour to allow you pricks to get back to SE16.

Whose cup final is it again?

Whose cup final is it again?
It’s neither’s. It’s called a local derby and will always attract more interest than run of the mill league games, as it should. I’d hazard a guess you’ll have more of your fans wanting tickets at the Den in January than you will for the away game before that… Blackburn rovers.
For an unlimited allocation you'd bring loads more to us than the opposite direction.

    Worse than that, pneumonia!

    Yep
  • The more tickets the Millwall fans buy the more money we get in.
As for our ground being too big for us, well our attendance at home on Saturday was more people then Millwall will ever get inside their home ground.

What about a Johnstons Paint Trophy, later round but not a quarter final?
  • a month to go and both ends practically sold out - will be this fixtures biggest attendance since the 60s

That may be the case, doesn’t change the fact that your ground is too big for you 😊

Millwall lad at work told me we'd sold out the home ends and I didn't think we'd be anywhere close. Have we almost sold it out then?

Correct me if I’m wrong but if it sold out would that be the first time you’ve ever sold out The Valley (since redevelopment anyway) outside of the top flight, not counting play off semi finals?

I think Plymouth at home a few seasons ago when Sandgaard owned us was technically a sell out, but we did give everyone about 3 free tickets each

How does ‘Millwall lad’ have info that no one on here appears to have ?

    'Fact' no less!
  • Hartlepool title game was a sell out I think? And maybe some football for a fiver matches
  • This thread has become rather boring.
  • Makes me laugh all this who cares more stuff, we both care way more than other games.

They will celebrate each goal like a Wembley win as will we, all there is to it. Unless there's a higher stakes games like relegation or play-offs, this will be our biggest game of the season, the pair of us.

    Can't wait.
    Spot on.

A very quick glance at our website and it appears ‘Millwall lad’ is telling porkies …

We have had a few sell outs, Hartlepool
for sure, in that time. Not convinced personally this game will sell out.
  • I really can’t see this game being a sellout, past history shows a lot of our fans especially the elderly and ones that bring young kids give this game a miss

Wrexham game last season was 24,692, and Wrexham didn't sell out their end, by some margin too. That's something like 97% occupancy of the home area. And at the time we weren't anywhere near the form that took us up.
