a month to go and both ends practically sold out - will be this fixtures biggest attendance since the 60s
It won’t be. The crowd in 1972 was 26,643. Millwall thought they had been promoted at the end of the game, which they won 2-0, but in fact they weren’t. Charlton went to Blackpool requiring one point to stay up and lost 5-0.
Forgot about that one but it was around the same era and it stood out from that great season. My point was that our home derbys against them have been less well attended than other derby games since. Looking at the clubs ticket availability, Leicester coming up next week looks considerably less than Millwall a month away.
Just missed out. I’m on about 500 points and would’ve been able to buy in the next stage but alas they all went before we got to that.
Oh well, the stick for me. Going to be the first Charlton Millwall game I’ve not watched in the flesh since… well I can’t remember. Sometime in the late 80’s I think.

You obviously don’t go to many away games then …
Done 70 odd of the current crop of 92 so done plenty, but due to personal reasons I didn’t get to many last season, and our system is done over two seasons, last one and the current one, so my points have dropped a bit. Should build them back up this season though.

Done two already this season, Norwich and Newport.
There will always be millwall fans in the home end just as there are always charlton fans in the millwall home areas - they will be friends or family of season ticket holders - entirely different to a block of 500 grouping up and causing a steward frenzy

Out of interest, what is 500 points at Millwall in terms of tickets and matches attended? Do you get 10 points per game like we do?

Loyalty Points Information
Please see below some information regarding our Loyalty Points system.
If you have any further questions or concerns regarding your points, please email ticketadmin@millwallfc.co.uk
Loyalty Points are run on a two season basis, and consist of the season you are currently in and the season prior. E.g., being in the 25/26 season, your points total will be what you have gained within the 24/25 and 25/26 season.
How to gain loyalty points Points gained for becoming a season ticket holder or member:
Becoming a season ticket holder you receive 250 loyalty points, so if you have been a season ticket holder for two consecutive seasons you will have a minimum of 500 points.
You receive 10 points for becoming a member.
Home League Games
Season ticket holders do NOT gain points for individual league home matches.
Members receive 10 points for every home league game that they buy a ticket for.
General customers will receive 10 points for every home league game that they buy for.
Away League Games
Both season ticket holders and members receive 10 points per away game.
Cup Games
Both season ticket holders and members receive 10 points per cup game.
General customers will receive 10 points per home game.
You only receive 10 points per game per customer. Should you buy multiple tickets under the same customer number, you will only receive 10 points. Its important when buying your tickets you make sure each ticket is assigned to each customer so you all receive your points.
What are loyalty points used for and how does it work?
Away games do not go on general sale.
Should the demand for the away game be high, we will go on sale to season ticket holders first with a certain amount of points and overtime decrease the amount of points required. It will then go on sale to members with a certain amount of points and follow the same process.
How can I check how many loyalty points I have?
Log into on the Millwall website and head to the ticketing page.
Click on the profile icon in the top right
It should display your name and customer number as well as your total loyalty points.
Makes me laugh all this who cares more stuff, we both care way more than other games.
They will celebrate each goal like a Wembley win as will we, all there is to it. Unless there's a higher stakes games like relegation or play-offs, this will be our biggest game of the season, the pair of us.

Can't wait.
Bold to assume we will score.
We are gonna beat them at home, mark my words.
This is our best chance in my lifetime since 96'. I have never believed we could get a result until now.
We match them well, I would say their squad is a bit better, but we match them far better than other previous Charlton sides which were packed with pathetic footballers, our managers aren't too far apart in terms of quality. (A neutral would probably edge Neil)
Our home record is great, and it will take a very good team to beat us now, if they do it, fair enough, they will have deserved it, but we aren't a soft touch like we have been for well over 10 years. This team is better than Powell's Charlton & Bowyers imho, just think we have more resilience and belief.
Josh Edwards, Lloyd Jones, Conor Coventry, Ramsay, Bell, Tanto, etc, these players aren't like the wimps we have had roll over in this fixture.

There will be. The difference is Millwall will be gobby and lording it up - they can't help themselves.
Look how horrendous these line-ups actually were. Apart from Cullen & Gallagher, maybe Lockyer, not one of those players gets near our current XI. We had a joke of a team last Championship spell. To a man the worst squad in the league at that time

they might be gobby and lording it up if they congregate together but not in 1's and 2's - always been the way with millwall

There will be a lot of people who are keen on the Millwall game and will buy early because of FOMO. Doesn’t apply to Leicester.
Sales for Millwall will stall, as they did for Watford, I reckon. Crowds will be similar - Leicester maybe closer to 20,000 (and fewer than that actually in the ground for any of them).
It’s perfectly possible for a fixture to enthuse one segment of Charlton fans and put off another. Millwall is the obvious example of that.

pretty much yeah. So you get 230 with your season ticket and any away games and cup games on top of that. It rolls over two seasons, the season we’re in and the last season

In the past I would have always been able to ask about and get something sorted. Got my boys to think about now though, and getting three tickets would be a struggle. I wouldn’t want to go without them. Would rather watch it at home on the stick with them than at the game without them.
Oh well, I’m not too fussed. It’s not like it’s that big a deal to us 😉🤣
