  • @LarrysMobileBar cant you sell bottled beer i.e corona extra 660 bottles, might be 630 any way if you charge £5 100% profit every one wins

I would love to sell bottles of lager, but I think my hands are tied with contracts between gather and gather and asahi/meantime etc.

if the fans requested I do, who knows what could happen

Good to hear Alex. My brother always gets one of your coffees, he is the old guy who usually requests an extra shot.
You are always nice and friendly, on one occasion last season you were so busy and run off your feet I suggested to you that you needed a helper.
  • Brilliant News Alex!! See you on Saturday...COYA :)

There’s enough choice of dishwater already. Bottles of real ale at the right temperature is what’s needed… 😉😆🍺

Doesn't seem worth it's own thread to ask but ...

We were most disappointed when arriving early for the Watford game to walk all the way to The River and find that they weren't opening early for a 12:30 kick off ☹️ Anyone know if they plan to change this?  With the amount of 12:30 starts we have they are missing out on quite a bit of cash I would have thought.

I've also wondered why/if they haven't sought permission for a few benches outside in the summer in a fenced off area like a lot of bars and cafes.  Sitting inside isn't great when it's rammed and 25c+
@ArmchairAddick The RAH have now said they'll be open from 10am this Saturday

I was invited to attend main reception today, to pick up a voucher for a free drink. I met Megan from Gather & Gather, who was very apologetic and explained the improvements they were trying to make. (That's a joke, she didn't say anything to me).

She had emailed me earlier in the week to ask what stand I would use the voucher in, so that she could brief the staff about the voucher. I confirmed the North Stand.

I went to use the voucher in the North Stand, and neither the staff nor supervisor knew anything about it. I had to stand there and convince them it was real.

At half time I had better luck getting served than last week. I went down on 45 mins and managed to get a pie and a pint.

It wasn't the pie I ordered, but we'll let that one go.

My family members did not have as much luck in the East. They went down before 45 mins and were still waiting to be served by the time the second half kicked off.

Didn't bother with fans bar today, fan zone in the sun though was great.
  • Popped in fans bar late, just on the off chance.  Queues moving great and served well.  It looked like they had twice as many staff on as last time.  It didn't seem as busy though, so hard to say how much of an improvement it really was.

On the other hand, I won't be going back to the fans zone for food after a game.  A piece of chicken in a plain dry bun with no garnish at all, not even a bit of lettuce - rubbish. Oh and "cheesy" chips normally have melted cheese on, not some grated cheddar chucked on cold and then served.  Also rubbish.  I'll be going back to the Turkish in future.  Chicken George is sadly missed!

You should email the club, as i doubt they will read it on here, and if they don't know they can't act on it.
  • Trying to leave the fans bar when the players came out for 2nd half, was stopped at the door by security guard and told I must leave the building and go though the turnstiles to get back in, I explained to the guy that its not what happens at half time as we came in from the stand, He looked confused but let us through. WTF.

Popped in after the game to let the crowd go and got served straight away. Had a second pint and the guy behind the counter was telling staff I needed serving. An improvement on my last visit.
