They are still pushing hard for one more, expecting this to happen but have not heard it is Fukuda. Doesn’t mean it won’t happen, just I haven’t been told that.
Have you been told a name (not expecting you to say) or are you guessing slightly that it isn’t Fukuda?

I really haven’t got any names mate, but after hearing about Fuduka very early, I would have expected to have heard more if it was going to happen, so not 100%, but would be shocked if it happened during this window.

Shame...I think that's twice he's injured himself on a game he has scored!

Part of me feels like we don't really need JRS back as we are quite well stocked for decent forwards. But then I watched his 2023/24 highlights reel again as was reminded of what he could do and how much more of a goal scorer he is than, say, TC (whose place he would probably take in the team). I wonder if he can match the physical intensity and pressing that NJ wants. If he can do that and can reproduce the kind of attacking form and moments of brilliance that he showed when here on loan before, then he could be an icing on the cake type signing in the way Kermorgant was for Powell.

Not going to get my hopes up, but would love to see it come off. Perhaps one to be complete late(ish) on deadline day if/when Palace decide they're not going to be able to move him on permanently.

Cawley has said that if JRS was available on loan we'd be interested but that isn't exactly news I don't think

His defensive stats from Sheffield united last season actually don’t look that bad tbf, seems to have developed that as well as the physical side of his game. We’re still looking for a RWB wouldn’t be shocked if the Plan was to try get JRS as an alternative for Apter instead of Fukuda and then integrate Asiimwe when both loans are up at us and Wimbledon next year

One has to factor in bigger teams coming in for our players in January and the summer.
If we make a fist of this season that is going to happen.

Only place jrs fits in this team is in place of tc, and not sure you could play him with kelman. He would definitely improve the team though. I reckon he will go to someone challenging up the top though

If the player is decent it makes perfect commercial sense. Asia is a massive market and teams that are represented will obviously draw an audience

Luke Berry linked with Luton on loan this morning ??
I can see that, given he's now third choice in that 10 role.

I know I'm relatively alone in this, but I don't think he was that great last season, which may be why we brought in two players. And he'll offer less in the Champ than L1.
I still think he could be useful from the bench if we need a goal. Scoring goals is our biggest challenge so I’d maybe want to keep him around. But also wouldn’t be that against him leaving now I’ve seen what Carey can do and now that Fullah is coming through
I think Fullah showing such promise has changed that situation - he has a genuine chance of contention, off the bench at least - which means Berry is probably out on the verges now.
It would be stupid to let a season pro like Berry, who had a decent scoring record, leave & replace him with a youngster with no experience.
Knibbs and Carey have replaced Berry. Fullah is a sub at best for the time being.

From seeing the 21’s team today, it looks like a few of the 21’s will be getting some minutes tonight.

Give us a clue about who is NOT included?

No Josh Laq, Hobden,Gough,Rylah, Wales, Mwamba,Enslin,Mbick or Fullah. It's a very very young U21 squad.

  • No one here to look at but were we not interested at signing Ali Koiki a few seasons ago? I remember him being quite highly rated

Grant Ward is a name that stands out with Championship experience. However, he's a midfielder so probably not.

Feels like a good chunk of that squad should have League 1 deals surely? Even the likes of Manny could do a job at that level as cover?

Feels a bit too random to be made up. Seems a bit of a specialist on Forrest as well.

This account randomly pops up every now and then to create a bit of chaos, did get Dan Potts to us right but no idea if he was first or not. Plus only 900 or so followers

I wonder if there are problems with him, as clubs have been willing to get rid even though he is playing well for them. I remember he once scored twice away to Real Madrid in the Champions League. Not many can claim that. Still only 27.

He’s probably on at least 30 grand a week. No chance we get near to the kind of money he would be asking for, even with Forest paying him off to get rid

Where would he play, another centre forward? We already have 4 and that's without Godden.

Also as mentioned, the fact he's on £30k a week means BCFC will probably be able to agree a deal with him; the only way he come to Charlton is if he buys in to NJ's project and takes a pay-cut. Why would you come to us when Birmingham are offering you more money?
