Miles ahead what's he actually done ? Any assists or goals yet ? Has knibbs even had a full games worth of minutes yet lol

Don’t feel like he works very well with Docherty in an attacking sense.

Looks tidy enough on the ball and presses well, but our midfield definitely needs more going forward.

Some of the best attacking stuff he's done is when he links up with Apter.
Understandable as he already has a good relationship with him.
He needs to convert that into others around him imo. TBF ,he's not the only one. We seem to be working well in certain pairs only, instead of across the park

It's a new side. They are are still very much gelling. I'm sure things will improve.

Thought we lost the press when he came off yesterday, Knibbs didn’t replace the athleticism

Which is strange as his stats suggested he was the best at pressing last season in league one maybe something not quite right yet I think he needs more game time though getting drips and swabs of games won't help.

Pressing is going to be the most effective if you get it right as a team which couldn’t have helped.

We threw a lot of attacking subs on, had TC at WB and Jones up front. That’s the sort of thing you do when you go all out attack to cause chaos and chase a game in the last few minutes.

Sometimes it works and we score, other times we’ll get caught out and concede. It was worth the risk yesterday.

Tbf I thought the press was where we would win the game, but QPR didn’t really try and play out at all so we didn’t see it much. Think they played themselves into trouble quite a bit last week so basically gave up and went long on goal kicks

Doesn't create as much as people think he does.

Tends to go missing in the final third.

Doesn’t narrow it down from anyone else!
  • Just met his dad, who is a postie in Norwich and was dropping off a package at my place. I fed back that consensus was that he and Apter had made good starts. Afterwards, I wished I'd asked if the transfer was happening regardless of promotion.

He'll be at the Boxing Day game up here.

Wonder if Nathan will let him have Xmas in Norfolk and join the boys on match day morning, or is it bad form if the team don't travel together on the morning of a match.

Was he wearing a sign round his neck saying ‘I’m Sonny Carey’s Dad?’. And did he ask if in Sonny’s absence he could shag your wife instead?

Just waiting for the first person to question whether he has enough loyalty points, and say he should have to go to Stoke on a Tuesday night before he's allowed a ticket.

That's not a mental image I needed when I'm about to start my tea.
  • Either Driesden’s spreadsheet had finally come good or once again our scouting department needs to take a bow. Although we really need another song for him….

I was in full voice then realised what I was singing when I turned round and looked at my 17 year old son….

    My son:

Was quite excited when we got him but can't say I'm overly impressed so far. Runs around a lot but makes some shocking decisions on the ball.
Needs to really up his game if this attacking line is going to fire.

    He obviously reads this forum.

    Thank me later!
  • Think he’s been our best signing so far. Scores goals and puts himself about.
  • Our best signing of the summer so far. Love his energy and press.
  • Was complaining we didn’t have that talismanic player that could grab the game and change it like Leicester and qpr had. But I think carey might end up being that for us. Fantastic finish today, made it look so easy.
  • A proper ping of a shot !
that’s a rarity with our spongefooters

It says something that we pursued Knibbs pretty heavily and apparently for quite some time... and now he can't even get into the 1st 11.

Quite apart from his ability, his attitude and energy are absolutely astounding.

Yeah, someone had a sign asking for his shirt in the lower CE and he obliged.

He has that low, powerful shot that we've seen so many opposition players use against us to nab points at The Valley. He did really well to keep that one on target when Burke missed the rebound.

Plus he pops up in defence when we're desperate. A quality signing.
  • Fantastic tackle/interception to stop a 1 on 1, and a superb shot to give us breathing space.  He looks a very decent player, and still young.  Excellent scouting/acquisition.

    Fabulous player. Already a favourite.
