Proper Ryder Cup roar.golfaddick said:WOW !!!!
I don't think I've heard a bigger roar than when Rory holed that putt.
Awesome.
Rory wins on the 3rd playoff hole.1 -
That putt will long live in the memory. Absolute sporting drama of its highest.1
-
Shane Lowry has just had an absolute melt down. Three ahead with three to play he put balls in the water on both the 16th and 17th to double-bogey both.0
-
Unreal, couldn’t believe it. Such bad shots. 3 shot lead to two behind in just two holes.0
-
I was watching the back nine during the adverts of something else. I saw that he had gone 3 shots ahead & thought job done.
Although the last few holes are really tricky....esp the 17th. Water water everywhere....0 -
Surely time for him to Jack it in.0
-
I got quite emotional watching Gary Woodland win this weekend3
-
On another note, this drive for Nicolas Hojgaard yesterday was off the charts, to see so far away from every other drive this week

Not surprised he got it further than the others. Looks like they were using pucks from the crossfire game instead of golf balls.AFKABartram said:On another note, this drive for Nicolas Hojgaard yesterday was off the charts, to see so far away from every other drive this week

Still remember the blister on the trigger finger.NB - I realise that I could not be making this comment in response to a worse (better) CL Poster. 😄2 -

Are you referring to Woods & driving automobiles? If so I would have to agree.SuedeAdidas said:Surely time for him to Jack it in.

I normally watch the end of the golf but missed yesterday.AFKABartram said:I got quite emotional watching Gary Woodland win this weekendGreat story, just a week or so after he talked about his PTSD following his brain injury.1 -
Stupidly excited for The Masters. Seems to be built bigger as an event year by year.Who do we think is going to win or go well?3
-
This year I don't think there is any clear favourite. For me the players in the mix will be
Fitzpatrick
Rose
Rahm
Schauffle
I think it will be after the Lord Mayor show for McIlroy and Scheffler is weirdly inconsistent.0 -
It's going to be fantastic -
Very open field this year.
I just have no idea who will win it.0 -
Summer officially begins today.I love The Masters.1
-
Love the Masters
have had a few quid on Cameron Young
Would love to see Rose win it3 -
Come on Tommy, get that putter working.1

Hopefully Rose year, deserves it.5

I will miss the usual call from a certain former poster on here and micropub owner, who very sadly passed away a year ago this Tuesday, next Monday to discuss all that went on in the Masters. The fact that the event also clashes with the National this weekend would have made the call that much longer.AFKABartram said:Stupidly excited for The Masters. Have had a small interest in Morikawa but he has a bad back hence the massive drift on him so Si Woo Kim carries my main each way money.0
-
Have got interest on following players -
Aberg
Fitzpatrick
Koepka
Cantlay
Day
personally think Scheffler will kick into gear this week.0 -
I'd love it if Rosie won
Any English man wd be a decent ew bet2 -
Interesting first day. Rory plodding along, not doing anything fantastic & ends the first round co-leader.
Whereas many players come a cropper on the back nine, esp on 13 & 15. Incredibly McIntyre puts 2 in the water on 15 & Couples has a nightmare there too (although we didnt see what he did on 15 & 16 to rack up a 9 & a 6.!)

Frustrated with some of the coverage, but some great golf. Course showing a bit of teeth and great seeing some struggle2
-
Its certainly slightly heartwarming to checkout how Bryson Dechambeau is getting on and find out he is +4, 9 shots off the joint leaders0
-
Couples actually dropped 8 shots in three holes from 15 to 17 to go from contending for the lead to probably missing the cut (-2 to +6) with quadruple, double and double. At the age of 66 it's hardly surprising that he might have run out of steam but, to his credit, he still said in a post match interview that he had fun and would do it all over again. An absolute legend.golfaddick said:Interesting first day. Rory plodding along, not doing anything fantastic & ends the first round co-leader.

Talking about records, will Adam Scott break Jack Nicklaus all-time record of competing in 146 consecutive Majors (actually 154 if we discount those he wasn't eligible for prior to that run)? The Masters is Scott's 98th over the course of more than 21 years and would be 57 if he were to do so. He would still be a year younger than Nicklaus when he achieved the record and almost a decade younger than Couples is now.0 -
Great to see the cream rising to the top at Augusta as so often is the case. Just a seizes or so players under par - how majors should be.Didn’t see much last night but will be tuning in over the weekend.0
